Comfortable Home in Nice Neighborhood

Located within walking distance of a nice little shopping/restaurant district and close to downtown. We were 8 ladies visiting for a golf tournament. There were 8 very comfy beds in 6 bedrooms/4 bathrooms. Would definitely stay here again!

WWBA Tournament

This house was outside of Hoover but worked great for 4 families. We had 9 adults and 6 almost adults and had plenty of room and loved how well it was set up to allow for a large group. Check in was easy and host was really responsive to our questions. Great visit.

Great location and house for our needs

Great location and communication from Patriot. We had 14 and the house was the right size and orientation for our needs. The house is old and looks it, but was just fine. One of the toilet seats was broken and the kitchen sink faucet was loose, but everything worked just fine. We appreciated the large TV and general layout of bathrooms and bedrooms and the downstairs apartment provided good privacy for the adults.

Golf outing

Advertised for sleeping 22 people. We had 16. Why can’t you have at least 16 towels we had to buy some. The entrance code was wrong. Finally got it right on 3rd try. Otherwise it was an enjoyable stay

Awesome Place to Stay

We couldn’t have picked a better house for our youth group to stay in while we were in town for Motion Conference. There were 19 of us, and we had plenty of room and never felt cramped. We had trouble the first day getting into the lower part of the property, but VRBO was quick to respond and help us to find out it was operator error and the digital lock was working just fine. We would definitely stay here again if we were bringing our youth group back to town!

I would stay away

There are not enough characters to warn you about what you are about to book. The house itself was old so we gave it a pass for the floors sagging and having chunks out of the tile. But there are cooks pest control traps filled with German cockroaches on the kitchen counter. The walls were stained with as the other reviews indicated, some kind of human secretion. The "unfinished basement" was as the other review indicated a dungeon. With every piece of furniture having weird stains. The chairs in particular looked as if they had been sat outside for several weeks and then pulled in. There are plenty of beds but only half of them have comforters. The others just have flat sheets and all the sheets are stained. Bathrooms had bugs or stains, or both. All the bathrooms had towel racks that were more for decoration than something functional. We had to put the bunk bed mattresses on the floor because critical hardware was missing from them making the entire bunkbed unstable. The ladders to the top bunk were missing rungs. Somehow all the lightbulbs were different or missing from all the light fixtures. All the walls had holes in them, but the dungeon was probably the worst. Not to mention the black mold that is 100% present. The stairs going upstairs had nails sticking out of them. Not to mention that this house is a complete fire hazard with the number of wires plugged in one extension cord behind the couch, including wires that were routed from the basement. So disappointed - great potential

We are a car racing team that travels all over the country and we stay in a lot of rentals. This was by far the worst we’ve been in. We would have left but were working 12 hour days and didn’t have time to figure out anything else for our large group. Pros: •Nice neighborhood with big trees •Big, old house with really large rooms •Room with 4 bunks had nice, newer mattresses •lots of potential Cons: •Dirty. Upon arrival we found a condom wrapper on the floor of one bedroom, a giant cockroach on the floor of another, and sheets that were questionable about their cleanliness •Mold. One bedroom had an air vent that was covered in a black colored mold. A member of our team is a contractor and he confirmed that it was definitely mold. •Basement “apartment” (dungeon) One bedrooms is part of a basement apt. Access this apartment down a set of stairs with drywall falling off the walls, onto a basement floor/hallway made of sheets of plywood. The room was better, but walls had cracks and mattress was visibly sagging in the middle. Our guys did rock paper scissors and the loser had to stay down there. •Bunk bed room -smears on the ceiling above one bunk that looked like maybe …blood? •Doorknobs. Many doorknobs were loose or didn’t work. The doorknob on my bedroom didn’t work from inside so I got locked in the first time I shut the door. •Poorly done patchwork repairs, holes in walls, peeling paint •Beds - duvet inserts without covers on all beds Photos sent to owner.
