The house didn’t really have a master bedroom and the so called Master did even have a Closet

The best part of this house was the game room. That’s it

Great Cabin with Tons of Entertainment

Check in went smooth. When we arrived there was an issue with the heater, the property management company had staff respond a couple times to try and fix the problem. They brought a space heater and offered extra blankets. Issue was eventually resolved. Cabin was clean, and cozy. In a very convenient location to town and slopes. Kids and adults enjoyed all the arcades and games.

We had a great week!

Overall the house was fun for all of us, plenty of space, great location, clean and has a well stocked kitchen with all we needed to cook for a large group. The games were enjoyed by all ages! We stayed during the 4th of July and were able to walk to the lake to see the fireworks. The negatives were, the hot tub had a very strong bleach/chemical smell when we arrived but by the second night it had a foul smell that got worse each day… it was only used 2 nights out of 6 because it smelled so bad. We all also had spotty wifi reception. It was fine because we were on vacation and felt like everyone needed to disconnect, but if any of us needed to work or do school from there it would’ve been an issue.

Could have been perfect

Overall beautiful cabin, game room is awesome, backyard is nice. Lots of space and great layout. Well stocked kitchen and home! A couple of complaints, the inability to coordinate with cleaning staff and communicate effectively to allow for early check in, property management staff tells you to ask the day of to see if early check in is possible only for them to not be able to confirm, in todays world this is unacceptable. Also the deck area is not cleaned at all… tables are dusty, fire pit is filthy, entire deck covered in dirt and animal Hair. Just takes a blower and some time to clean the backyard. And finally NO AC! The upstairs gets warm! Have to go around the house and open windows to try to let the cool air in but really not great…. This should be boldly stated in the details.

Bad housecleaning

We had dirty sheets on all the beds covered body hair and dirt when we arrived and lead us to wash all the beds the first night….Only 6 bath towels for the whole house with a family of 9peeps and 4hand towels. The cleaner wasn’t done even when we arrived at the residence, floors were still wet and she helped us open the cabin once she locked up at 4:30….took till 8:30-9pm the day of my complaint to get the issue resolved when I called at 8:30-9am to get the items needed. My mom and Grandmother only took one shower because of the towel issues… I wasn’t happy this trip at all.. Jp

Nice home

This home was in a nice neighborhood, was comfortable for our large group, the kids loved the arcade games, and the adults enjoyed the separate living area. Kitchen was organized and well equipped. We will be back to Big Bear- it was beautiful. We will not be renting with Big Bear Vacations - the management company of this home. We didn’t feel welcomed at all and made to feel like we were doing something wrong by asking to check in early. It was stated in 4 emails that early check in is available if possible and by request only. That morning we checked in at the office at noon and I asked and was told if the cabin was ready before 4pm the address and code to get in would be emailed to us. Fair enough, we explored the area some more, had lunch, then decided by 3pm to head in the direction of our rental and we’d wait there since everyone was getting a little worn out. We arrived outside the home at 3:15- no one was there. We sat on the porch and chatted, by 3:35 still nothing- maybe I wasn’t getting the email? I called the company they said “unfortunately the home isn’t ready yet but if it still shows not ready we’ll send the email at 4:00 exactly”. Of course come 4:00 no email, I call them again 4:15 and the woman tells me they’ll send it right away and tries to hang up and I tell her I’ll wait on the phone to make sure I get the email because at this point it’s cold and already starting to get dark. After an awkward 5 minutes of silence on the phone I finally receive the email. What really made me want to be a Karen and write this detailed account was that they made it a point to not let us in until 4 and when we did get inside the downstairs back room with the King bed looked like it had been slept in and the sheets never changed. Seriously? It was upsetting. So they’ve got some hospitality skills to work on. When you book they ask for names and ages of all guests- so they knew we were with a baby and kids and elderly people. Why state it in four places that early check in is available if possible if it’s blatantly obvious you’re not actually going to try to accommodate it? And folks I’m talking a few minutes early not hours.. definitely started off on the wrong note
