About this property

Luxurious, stylish, cosy and clean - Eco living and non smoking village

Feel your stresses melting away as you arrive into our unique village. As soon as you arrive at your north facing Fleurieu Eco Escape, you will start to smile and relax. Walk up your own path through the beautiful garden into your haven. We are just next door to you should you need us; we share a roof but your access and space are completely seperate to us.

The super comfortable queen size bed has crisp white sheets and a king size duvet to snuggle under. Lots of thoughtful extras will make your life easier and your stay so much more enjoyable. You will find fluffy bathrobes, slippers, electric blankets, bedside lights and chocolates on your pillow plus more! You’ll love our breakfast provisions; these include 3 types of milk (cow, soy and almond), eggs from our own chickens, home made bread, croissants and homemade jam. We have a Nespresso pod machine and a plunger; we understand how important good coffee is! Gluten Free crunchy granola, Pecan Porridge and hot chocolate are also offered.

We built this place using passive solar design; windows, walls, floors and shading are designed to collect, store, reflect, and distribute solar energy, in the form of heat in the winter and reject solar heat in the summer to make it more comfortable to live in whilst using less energy. Hot water and power all come from the sun and we have rainwater (fully filtered). Your room is north facing and has lots of thermal mass from handmade earth bricks and sandstone floor tiles; these help to regulate the temperature without using energy; ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioning are available.

Please note that whilst you have a separate path and entrance, you share an internal wall with our family home; this is not a stand alone property and some daily living noises may be heard at times during the day.

Wander though our stunning, sleepy village; marvel at the many different styles of houses and gardens and, throughout your stay and enjoy the different birds. Strongly No smoking - extra $500 cleaning fee will be charged if you do; sadly we have been burned in the past

Something different

Wow, it amazed us about the property and the community. The property is in an eco-village, everything is recycled, quiet, and beautiful. The owner dropped by and we had a lovely chat, very friendly and so much thought went into this property. It is close to the beach and the wineries. We have been telling our friends about this property. Enjoyed our stay and recommend it highly.

Amazing Stay

The property was very clean and well presented. Jacqui is a wonderful host and she has thought of everything….even supplying beautiful breakfasts, including her yummy home baked bread, and her delicious dukkah! The location is great, being in a a very quiet friendly community, and just a short walk into the township centre and about 15 minutes walk to the gorgeous Port Willunga Beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you Jacqui 🙂

Sensational

This little place has everything you need plus more. The warmth of the homemade bread on arrival was bonus. The surrounding wasn’t what we were expecting. We didn’t really know what to expect but was very surprised on how beautiful this place is and what it represents. It’s definitely a must if you haven’t stayed here before. Piece of Fleurieu paradise

Cosy stay, in the peaceful Aldinga Arts Ecovillage, where you are surrounded by nature and wildlife. An easy shirt bike ride or walk to town and beach. Jacqui is the most wonderful host. Provided everything you need. Couldn’t fault the stay. Will be back!

An utterly magical experience

From the moment I arrived at Jacqui's place I had a sense of coming home. Her care and attention to detail was evident in everything - from the welcome bread, olive oil and dukkha (her specialty) to the supremely comfortable bed and chairs. The chairs outside in the front garden became my watching party of birds and other creatures. I slept 12 hours the first night I arrived, after a swim in the sea a short distance away. Jacqui is the best host, being always available for advice and with maps and brochures for restaurants and day trips. She is also very respectful of privacy and the whole place is quiet and conducive to rest. There's a gelato bar, second hand bookshop and coffee caravan the at the front of the eco village, which is is an immersion experience in sustainable living. I can't wait to return to Jacqui's place and to this village.

A quiet recluse

We love Port Willunga and Aldinga and have spent much time staying or visiting there with walking, beaching, lunching and being with friends over many years. The weather was chilly, even in December, so walks were the schedule. The beach, the wetlands, the scrub and the area around the Eco Village provided our walks. Jacqui has provided beautiful extras to our stay. Thankyou

A restful retreat

Jacqui is a wonderful host who has prepared a peaceful place to stay with everything you could possibly need. It is in an idyllic setting & you really don’t need to leave, there is a welcome platter and fresh bread all laid out ready for your enjoyment. Very clean and practical, with every possible need thought of and met. I had lovely fresh bread hand-delivered when I arrived, and there was some really delicious dukkah and olive oil provided to enjoy it with. I had the option of fresh eggs, croissants, or granola for breakfast, and there were plenty of coffee and tea options. The bed was very comfortable, and the unit looks out on a gorgeous garden that was crowded with colorful flowers. The host was welcoming and easy to contact. Jacqui really has thought of everything possible to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

We love making our guests feel super special and oh-so-spoiled. We built here in 2008 and cannot imagine living anywhere else; it truly is a piece of heaven on earth.
I live with my partner Ian, my gorgeous 15 year old son, my adorable Bordoodle, 2 fluffy pussy cats and 5 chooks (you'll be offered their eggs as part of your breakfast). We look forward to making your stay everything that you want it to be.

Why they chose this property

We built here in 2008 and cannot imagine living anywhere else; it truly is a piece of heaven on earth. We are an 'intentional community' which means we intend to know the other people living here and we do! It's so lovely to walk around the village and smile and chat to others. It's so quiet and safe; we love it!
