Amenities are a crapshoot, regardless, the area is extremely noisy.
My first impression was that the grand venetian was a beautiful property.. The unit had kind of junkie furniture, and the air conditioning was not working. It took three days to get it repaired, which was half of the time of my rental. I tried repeatedly to contact the owner to discuss some compensation for the lack of air conditioning and never heard back. While I understand that things break down, I also understand that routine, maintenance and upgrades can make this less likely. At a minimum, I cannot imagine, renting lodging to someone in a tropical climate, and having something so important as the air going out without compensating the renter.
That aside, this property was extremely noisy. Just outside of the building by the ocean is a club that blasts music Thursday through Sunday. Don’t get me wrong, I like music, but when I say “blasts”, i mean it is as if you are in a club, Despite the fact that you are 24 floors above and a couple hundred yards away. It may doing anything in the unit unpleasant. At the Times when their music was not blasting, various neighbors, we’re blasting theirs at club level volumes. For example, one night, a tenant on the floor below was drunk and yelling with others and blasting music all night. Call to the office were unfruitful.. Issues like this make me suspect that the owner is renting because she herself doesn’t want to stay there. I had friends staying in building, one and two and each of these were buffered from the noise a great deal more than this unit’s building (#3). On a positive note, the property manager was kind and helpful, but did not have the authority to compensate for the lack of air conditioning.
