This was perfect for our extended weekend getaway

Except for the fridge and freezer not working everything else was perfect

Girls weekend

We enjoyed our stay although there were a couple of hiccups, the main one being that the fridge did not chill our food or drinks. When reported we were told there was no fault and the fridge was in working order. The fridge was intact not cool on arrival and all our food and drinks were almost warm to touch after a 24hr period of being placed in the fridge. We had dispose of well over $150 worth of food, then spend more money to replace what had gone bad. We were offered a 5% discount on our next stay which unfortunately will not cover the costs of the money we are out of pocket, which was a little disappointing. Other then that we really enjoyed our stay.

Family winter getaway

Property is spacious and comfortable. Kitchen may be better equipped, house is clean although outdoor areas can do with a bit of tidy up. Fridge does not work, I rang to inform ppty mngr and was told fridge had been checked by cleaners and ppty management previously and works fine, was given instructions about the temperature to leave on to make it work but it does not do anything. Had to store all food in freezer for 3 days just to avoid things going off, luckily it wasn’t summer. Clothes dryer does not work either. Only realised this on our last day so didn’t call management to advise of this, hopefully they can replace these things for future residents. Overall, we had a nice stay, the area is quite and there’s lots of nice places to eat. The residents at the resort are friendly and the resort is beautifully looked after. The girls at the Rafferty resort’s reception are really helpful and friendly. Facilities are awesome with 4 pools (one heated) and several tennis courts, as well as a playground, bbq area and lots of areas to go for walks and cycle. Would definitely come back again.

Beautiful place but some major issues

The house is gorgeous, the kids loved the rooms and the resort facilities. I would easily have given a 4 or even a 5 star overall rating if it wasn’t for the following: 1. Before booking I noticed a number of reviews mentioning the fridge not working properly. I made an enquiry about it was told there was no issue. When we got there however we quickly discovered the fridge was basically room temperature, and the freezer was only cold enough to store milk, drinks (we stored icecream and it all melted). This was really frustrating and meant we had to eat out every day/night as we couldn’t buy ingredients to cook without a functioning fridge to store them in. To their credit Lakeshores did offer to try and get a technician to look at it during our stay, but I declined as we were in and out of the property and clearly the fridge has had this issue for quite a while and probably will only be resolved by being completely replaced. The fridge also had a strong odour coming from it - sort of like onion or body odour. I strongly suggest the owner replaces that fridge, and I would suggest potential tenants avoid booking the property until the fridge is replaced. 2. The stove top only had one burner working, and this one would sometimes turn off in the middle of a cook. A couple of smaller, less critical issues which I include for feedback for the owner: 1. The clothes dryer is new and functioning, but it seems that a previous tenant may have dried some clothes that had been soaked in lake water as it had a persistent “fishy” odour which could be smelt on the clothes/towels that we dried in it. The odour was not strong, but it was definitely there. I believe this can easily be solved. 4. Some lightbulbs need replacing in a few areas of the house. Other than this, it was a wonderful property that we would return to in a heartbeat and would recommend to others if it wasn’t for the issues mentioned above. Hope the owner takes the feedback on board and replaces that fridge, and fixes the stove as these are the two main issues.
