Good for a very short stay only
Host was very accommodating however the property description doesn't match reality. Cooking was via a shared barbecue, washing up needed to be done in the bathroom vanity and the restaurant was closed. Most meals required a 20 minute drive to Nairne...or slightly further to Mt Barker. It would be OK for an overnight stay or weekend if you wanted to travel around the Adelaide Hills. Longer stays are very difficult.

South Australian Holiday
The location enabled us to do day tours of the Fleurieu Peninsula, Hahndorf and Barossa Valley, plus a day in Adelaide. The accomodation for a couple was ok. Bottom step needs replacing. No cooking facilities ( microwave only) was a surprise. No washing up facilities a bit tedious. Used bathroom sink to wash cups etc No tea towels It appears from promotional stuff on the website there is cooked food available. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a great time visiting all the places we had planned. Karen and Peter

Very disappointed
We first booked believing that the property was in the Adelaide hills, not past them. We chose the property based on the fact that all.of the ads featured a cafe. We were looking forward to coffee and a cheese platter based on the ads as well as a lovely dinner without having to leave the property. When we arrived it was all closed 😢 we were also looking forward to breakfast, which turned out to be bread which went soggy in the wet fridge and some jam plus half a carton of already opened milk. All incredibly disappointing

Great host and a nice place for a comfortable stay. Our family of four and the dog enjoyed our stay there. The town is very quiet so ideal for a getaway from the city life.

We really enjoyed our stay and our host, Donna, was delightful
If you are looking for a slick luxury stay, this is not for you. We had net, clean and comfortable accommodation and a lovely three coarse meal in a cozy dining room with a glowing fire. Add an attentive host and great local food and wine at a very reasonable price and its add up to memorable stay.

Lovely little spot!
This little B&B is perfect for a short stay. Everything was clean and neat. The garden is cute and the bed comfortable. It's a perfect little retreat if you need a home base while exploring the hills. My only minor complaint was no wi-fi, but if you want to disconnect for a weekend, this place is fantastic.

Country charm
Lovely quiet spot - out in the countryside but only minutes to mount Barker and Hahndorf. Wonderful to listen to the birds on waking. Donna was a terrific host and great chef! Dinner in the beautiful old main building was lovely. Travelling with a small dog, the cottage was large enough for him to run around but outside is all on leash as there is no fencing, and no grass. It was an easy short walk to the local park though if you have a picky dog (like us) who wouldn't do his business until he was on grass... The cottage was more than sufficient for our needs as we were out and about during the day. Would have liked to use the verandah more however without fencing we.would have had to leave the dog inside and he would not have been happy to think he was missing out on anything lol.

Quiet, attractive setting
We had a comfortable stay. The quantity of butter and milk provided was not sufficient for breakfast for 2. There was a food and drink menu, but it was not clear whether or when this was available. When we booked there was no indication that food could be obtained so we brought our own. A microwave dish or 2 for reheating food would have been good. Apart from that, it was fine.
