This place is in the middle of paradise. You would not even guess you’re minutes away from all the amenities of Burlington! The forest view from the living room windows is phenomenal and the firefly show all night was an added bonus. The sauna was an amazing touch!
The owners communication was fantastic, quick and efficient!
This place has the ability to be a luxurious getaway, just missing a few small details such as, firewood (to go with the advertised firepit), cleaning under the moveable island, air conditioning in the bedroom, loud rattling from outside (heat pump), general outdoor upkeep and cleaning. All small things that would put this place over the top!
Really an amazing spot and would love to come back!

Very disappointing - not clean or well maintained
We were terribly disappointed in Hidden Valley Hideaway. The cabin is in a lovely spot next to the woods with a nice overall design and an inviting outdoor patio. However, it just was not well-maintained or cleaned.
The AC was not working at any time during our 8-night stay. The owner kept telling us it would be fixed, but due to mistakes and delays, it never happened.
When we arrived, many of the kitchen handles were sticky, the drawers in the island were filthy, the water filter spout in the kitchen was very loose, and the vegetable bins in the refrigerator did not slide in and out properly. In the bathroom, the empty drawers were dirty, one of them full of hair. The toilet seat was very loose, so I tightened it and had to clean urine stains around it. The handle on the outside of the shower door was loose.
We had to do a fair amount of cleaning on arrival.
The trash bin outside was completely full, and there was a lot of trash on the ground around it. Clearly no one had taken the bin to the curb in some time.
The guides that open and close several of the windows in the home were broken.
The bed in the 2nd bedroom facing the street jiggles like crazy and bangs against the sides of the frame if you lay on it and make any movement.
This place could be really nice but needs to be properly maintained and cleaned. Our stay was quite uncomfortable, not remotely worth the price we paid. The owner promised some compensation. I have not yet heard back 2 days after we left.
The cottage was beautiful, clean and modern. It had everything we needed. The location was quiet and peaceful but close to the city with great amenities and lots to do.
Thank you for a great getaway!
