Soak up the peace and quiet from the front porch offering picturesque paddock views or immerse yourself in nature and explore the grounds with sheep and alpacas. Rain harvested and solar-powered, guests can enjoy ample outdoor space, a wood-burning fireplace and ducted cooling.
Providing guests with ultimate rural seclusion, this rustic farm stay is the perfect family retreat just outside Mudgee. Breathe in the fresh air and stunning rural views while you lounge on the front verandah or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco amongst lush surroundings. A fenced yard ensures your furry friend is securely contained.

Inside, feel right at home in the cosy living area overlooking the surrounding farms and paddocks. Light up the wood-burning fireplace, lounge around on the leather sofas or browse our collection of reading materials and board games. The fully-equipped, modern-style country kitchen has all the essentials including a dishwasher and espresso machine. Catch up on work emails or have a quick bite to eat at the island bench; while a six-seater dining table off the kitchen makes it easy to gather for dinner together.

All three bedrooms are fitted with plush queen beds for restful nights. The main bathroom comes with a bathtub and glass shower, wall-to-wall vanity and a separate toilet, while the second bathroom is newly renovated and offers a spacious shower, country vanity, and modern toilet. In-unit laundry with a washing machine and dryer is also available for guest use.

You'll find a high chair for your convenience. If you require a porta cot, it's available for an additional $15. Great farm-stay.

We had a great time. Great outlook, out of town away from it all. Good facilities. If you bring dogs, be aware there are sheep grazing in the surrounding paddocks, and there is a great large dog enclosure at the front so you can go out for trips knowing they're safe. Recommended.

Wonderful farm stay

The tiny house was very different to what we were used to so it was a great experience. Everything was there that we needed. Only issue was the house just near ours had a group of guys staying there and the first night they were there they got back about midnight and were very noisy for about an hour. After that it was fine. I would recommend this place to anybody except if you have mobility issues as the stairs up to the bed were very narrow - but the bed was very comfortable.

A Relaxing Gem

What a great place to stay and unwind. The home was comfortable, well presented and was so well stocked. Victoria was so easy to deal with and nothing was a problem. We had a relaxing time at the property which is what we all needed. A perfect tonic. The views from both the front and rear verandahs just added to the enjoyment of the stay. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful getaway!

We had an incredible time here. The view of the surrounding landscape is spectacular, the yard is fully fenced and was great for the kids to kick a ball around, the house had everything we needed and more. The kitchen is amazing and has more to offer than any other holiday rental we have ever stayed at. Our favourite parts were waking up to the sound of lambs and birds, and watching a storm roll over the paddocks.

Relaxing stay with the hounds

We spent another great week at Ithaca Cottage with our hounds. The property is fully fenced, with an additional enclosure, so it was very safe to leave the dogs behind whilst we were sampling Mudgee's wineries and having long lunches. Property was clean and the perfect place to have a week of downtime. Would definitely recommend to anyone travelling with their dog/s.

Fantastic stay for 2 with peaceful surroundings

We had a wonderful stay at Canguri cottage. The cottage is perfect for two or a small family. The ambience is incredible with amazing views of rolling hills. We enjoyed the fire pit of an evening and watching the stars. Went for a lovely walk and saw the local wildlife - Roos, sheep and even deer. We would love to come back again.

Little gem in a rural setting

We had a wonderful stay at Ithaca. It was perfect for us, the house is very comfortable and everything that you could possibly need was provided. It was lovely staying in a rural setting away from the bustle of town but still close enough that the driving was never an issue. And with the cold snap that arrived, the slow combustion fire was much needed....we were very happy about that. Thank you!

Overall had a wonderful time. It is a 15 minute drive from the centre of Mudgee but that was also part of the enjoyment. Once on the farm land, it was so peaceful. I had difficulty with the internet but that just forced me to put work down and enjoy the ambiance. There was no welcome bottle of wine, nor cook your own breakfast, other than packet cereals. That said, the communication was great and I think this is well worth a stay if you are a couple or family of say 4. The stars in the sky were stunning!

Frog Rock great stay

Great property ideal for our family stay exploring Mudgee area. Well stocked and fantastic kitchen. Slow combustion heater was good and lots of firewood provided. Mudgee weather was wet and cold, we had snow on the drive from Sydney on day we arrived. The bedrooms up the hallway struggled to feel the heat from the stove. Peaceful location with short drive to everything. Kids loved the alpacas, sheep and newborn lambs in the paddocks.

Great place for family bonding

I, my brother, my daughter and her husband have been coming to Mudgee for a few days every year, the last 3byears ti Ithaca Cottage. We love it. Kitchen really well equipped, area a bit out of town so very quiet. Well fanced yard that is great for the dog. We love the quirkiness of some of the decor and the comfort of the fire on a cold night. We'll be back next year, we hope.

Beautiful location

We all enjoyed the fire pit and exploring the property. It was a beautiful location and wonderful for star gazing and waking up to the birds in the morning. The house was very clean and stylish but a it smaller then we were expecting. The second room only had a double bed instead of a bunk bed. Thank you for a great stay

Lovely little farm

Frog Rock was a great place to stay! We loved the house, the location and the animals (farm animals and the visiting kangaroos). The kitchen is well equipped and the airconditioning was fantastic on a particularly hot November weekend. We would stay again.

A great stay!

We loved our weekend away, and hope to return in the not too distant future! The location was lovely, my daughter loved the animals and having a bit of a farm experience, yet it's just an easy trip in to Mudgee. The house was immaculate, and well equipped. I was particularly pleased by how the kitchen had everything we'd possibly need - which is often not the case for holiday rentals! Thank you for a fabulous stay!
