Quiet, well located condo

This is my second year at this property and I’m already scheduled for next year. The owners are great and very responsive to requests for information and for help in resolving small issues.

Perfect accommodations for us!

We loved our extended stay in this condo and wish we could have stayed longer! It's full of light with beautiful views of the mountains for sunrises and sunsets. Very quiet neighborhood with access to heated pool and hot tub. Tasteful decor with luxurious beds and bathrooms. Large patio for entertaining and handy enclosure for our bikes. We feel fortunate that it was available for us to rent at this popular time.

Palm Springs Style

The unit was large, bright and clean. There were lots of towels and bedding, some of which looked new. The kitchen had more than enough equipment. I loved the closeness of the mountains. We found some great restaurants within walking distance. Boozehounds and JJ’s Mexican Café were our favourites.

Great home away from home

This was our third year staying at this beautiful condo. The views from the livingroom are breathtaking. The patio area has comfortable seating where one can enjoy watching the tram lights in the evening. It is conveniently located to downtown and grocery stores. Mark and Robert are fantastic to work with. Due to the Coronavirus we had to cut our stay short this year but hope to return sometime soon.

Fantastic

I was glad to be there every day I was there. The beds were comfortable, the condo felt open and accessible. The kitchen was easy, the parking was easy, access to the outside was easy. My son is going back in a few months with his family, and I'm returning next year. Kudos!

Clean, bright and inviting space to relax and unwind.

Robert was an excellent host for this lovely rental. The location was close to downtown and the space was tidy and bright. We loved the closed courtyard space and the private patio area. The beds were comfy and the rooms beautifully appointed in the mid-century modern style so popular in Palm Springs. Overall we had a wonderful stay and hope to go back!

The Best Condo In Palm Springs

My wife and I have travelled throughout the U. S. and have found this residence to be one of the finest we have stayed in. The owners cannot be beaten , even by me, as I had been in the rental business for four decades. The owners are there to make your stay the best that it can be and have done everything we had requested, plus more. I could not recommend anyone more. If you are planning a stay in the Palm Springs area, this is the place to stay. First of all, the owners purchased and completely remodeled this 40 year old condo and the work they accomplished is truly amazing. This ownership and investment is very important to a traveler. They are in the business of renting and will not cancel you once you receive your approved rental agreement. I was cancelled three times in the past year by those listing on AirBnB. There is no penalty to them and many are doing this rental as a side venture, these owners have this unit as a business investment and welcome your business. Have you ever been cancelled in the day or two before leaving on vacation? Well you won't have to worry about a cancellation for this condo. This good sized condo, 1300 square feet, is excellent in size and is fully furnished with nearly everything you have in your own home. It has two bedrooms, king and a queen bed, excellent firm mattress to give you a great nights sleep. It has two bathrooms, one with a large shower, good sized living room, kitchen and eating area. The outside patio is furnished with excellent patio furniture and an excellent barbque grill. The property is located but a few minutes from downtown Palm Springs. The location is in a very desirable area, which is very clean and traffic free. This is a very quiet area. To say I am satisfied with these accommodations, is a complete understatement.I recommend this property highly to anyone making Palm Springs their destination.

Palm Springs Sunny Getaway

Tucked away in North Palm Springs this tranquil mountain view retreat is 5 minutes to everything; downtown-museums, convention center, VillageFest, the Tram... AND walkable to hotels, coffeehouses, groceries & nearby parks. My family found this mid century hideaway extremely quiet & well appointed; comfy linens, lotsa kitchenwares, games and more. The views from the interior living spaces as well as the private terrace are spectacular and awe inspiring. Whether it be a bbq on site, dip in one of two large pools, hot tub relaxation session or soaking up the sun it was a visit we won't soon forget. Looking forward to our return!

About the host

The condo is owned by two friends, Robert and Mark, who have known each other for over 25 years. Robert first purchased a condo and lived in the complex for over 7 years (he has since sold his condo). When this particular condo became available for purchase, the two friends decided to go in on it together...because units in this location (uninterrupted mountain view’s) don't become available very often. Mark lives an hour outside of Palm Springs but stays in the condo for weekend getaways when it's available. Robert is originally from upstate New York but has called California home for over 30 years. He's retired from the hospitality business and spends his time between Palm Springs and Phoenix. Mark is a California native and has been working as a university administrator for the last 20 years.

Both guys are available during your stay to answer any questions.

Why they chose this property

The guys both think that this is one of the best condos in the complex...if not THE best. The condo is on a quiet street and has its own private entrance with the parking space situated close to the front door...it's like a house and only shares one wall. The wall of windows in the living room area are south facing so they let in a lot of natural light and of course give you that great view of the mountains. It's so quiet and peaceful you can't help but feel relaxed the second you arrive.

The mid-century architecture in the 1963 condo is also very unique. Robert is part of the architectural committee for the complex and the owners are all interested in preserving the history and original look of the condos. The condos were originally offered as winter getaways with luxury amenities listed as "G.E. Refrigeration, Built-in Kitchens, Wall-to-Wall Wool Carpets and Traverse Drapes". The original price of the new condos at that time was $17,950 with a down payment of $1950.

Times have changed and the carpet has been replaced with tile, the drapes are gone and single pane windows have been replaced with energy efficient ones for year-round living and comfort.

What makes this property unique

With only 50 units, the complex is typically very quiet. Often times when lounging by the pool you won't see a single person (depending on the season). There is a 50/50 split between full time residents living in the complex and those who use their condo as a vacation getaway. The grounds and pools are well kept with palm trees and desert plants proportionate to the complex.

The City of Palm Springs has grown quite a bit over the last several years. The downtown is bustling with many shops and restaurants. Gone are the days of quiet Palm Springs summers...visitors are calling it a vacation destination year- round. Palm Springs will always have that small town feel but with everything easy to get to it's a great place to vacation, relax and enjoy life.
