Very bad experience!
Accessed this cute cottage, unpacked, went out for a quick dinner and then back in time to see a beautiful sunset down the street.
Returned to a nightmare unfolding. We left a couple of lamps on so we didn’t return to a dark house.
Well, any lit light was covered with live, wormy- looking bugs with lots of wings covering the bedroom nightstand, floors, the living room sofa lamp and droppings on the dishes and kitchen counter. It was late so we had a very restless night’s sleep but waited to text the host and alternate contact first thing in the morning to report the swarm of dry wood termites (looked it up on line). No response. Waited until 2:30pm and called host, left a message and then tried alternate. She must have recd my text as she knew what it was about, but said we had to communicate with the host directly. We gathered our belongings and moved to a hotel. Bottom line, finally when reaching the host, he said to take it up with VRBO and hung up on us. This listing is managed by a property manager who VRBO connected us to. They were very helpful in settling this unpleasant experience and our sincere thanks to them.
