About this property
3 Acre Private Island on Quiet Muskoka Lake
Keppy Lodge, named after the family that cared for Auricula Island for > 80 yrs, is the perfect getaway for your large family gathering. Spend the day boating, fishing and swimming in the clean waters of Wood Lake, while always immersed in all-day sun, then enjoy time around the campfire amongst the towering trees staring up at the stars.
Weekly bookings - start on Thursday.
We are currently renovating and updating the space, so will add more pictures soon.
The original cabin, dating to 1941, has rustic charm highlighted by a Muskoka room with views out to blueberry island, a large family room with a prominent stone fireplace, and 2 bedrooms.
A recent addition has updated the cabin with modern conveniences, including a fully-stocked kitchen, laundry, full bathroom, and a loft space with an en-suite bathroom.
The patio off the kitchen provides a brand-new BBQ and additional outdoor space.
Within close proximity to the main lodge, are three separate sleeping bunkies, situated close to the shoreline to provide unmatched views.
Access to the island will require your own boat, or a rental through a local service provider like muskokaboatrentals.com.
A public boat launch is available.
Due to liability issues, we are not permitted to allow use of our boat.
A parking area on the mainland is provided, along with a boat slip for travelling back and forth between the island and mainland.
The cottage comes equipped with 2 paddleboards, 2 kayaks, 2-6' sit-on kayaks for kids and a canoe.
We want you to have the best time possible and choose the right place for your getaway.
The island is an escape - a place to relax, cook, chill, laugh and unplug.

Why they chose this property
We have a young family, who loves spending time together enjoying the outdoors. When we first saw Auricula Island, we thought it was too good to be true - a private island on a family-friendly and quiet lake, with our friends just around the corner.
We fell in love with the trees and unspoiled natural environment of the island.
This is our happy place - a place to unwind and reconnect with nature.

What makes this property unique
This is a true getaway, which is the benefit of an island. Leave the car and the worries behind, and disconnect as much as possible.
