Great little place away from the hustle and bustle.
We stayed at this property for a few days for a last minute break over New Years.
The house is located directly opposite the Surf Coast Shire building and a big sporting oval, park and skate park in a new- ish housing estate. It’s right next to the main road leading into Torquay.
The property is 1 minute away from Bunnings and a few little cafes, a 5 min drive to the big Rip Curl store and the Surf shops/outlets and about a 10 min drive to the main family friendly beaches. It’s not really within walking distance.
The house was almost new, super clean and perfect for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children).
The owner has provided all of the amenities you need to live comfortably, including all cutlery, crockery, cookware etc . It has a dishwasher and also has a little laundry with a great washer/dryer combo. It has a really small rear yard with an electric bbq, small table and chairs and clothesline.
Overall we really enjoyed staying here as we weren’t right in all of the noise and busy-ness of Torquay’s main beaches and streets, but just keep in mind that you’ll need to drive over to the beaches and find a car spot every day etc.
The beds were really comfy, just need to bring your own bed linen and also towels etc as these aren’t provided.
The only down side to the property is that the bedroom with 2 beds in, at the front of the property upstairs. is directly opposite the sporting oval with its giant lights (there are blinds which block these out) and it’s not far from the main road leading into Torquay, so it was a little noisy with cars at times (but this could also be because we stayed over New Years and it was busier).
Also, this is only a temporary thing but there is a garage to park your car in at the rear of the property, but there’s no remote yet for the door, so you need to manually pull the door up and down and then go into the house when you return each time, to open the door from the lever in the garage as it latches shut.
Overall a really cute little property to use as a base to explore, for a small family.
