My mom and I stayed during our visit to Sault Ste. Marie for my daughter’s wedding. The house was a perfect place to come, and relax after some wedding prep. We used the kitchen to prep some goodies for the reception, and there was plenty of room. Everything was in great, working order! We did contact Althea since we had a little trouble signing on to the WiFi, but she was quick to respond. As stated in other reviews, the street was busy, but not horrible. We had no troubles navigating in and out of the driveway. Truly enjoyed our stay!
Needed to stay in town for a couple weeks. This property had everything we needed and it was clean. The beds comfortable. Location close to everything. Althea was quick to respond with any questions we had. Would use again.
The place is nicely decorated and very clean. Like other reviews had mentioned, it’s on a major road so it’s quite noisy. The train track is also right behind the house but we only heard the trains once while we were there. Grocery stores and fast food restaurants right across the street. Limited counter space in the bathroom. Overall a good stay and will recommend.

Better Than a Hotel
This house has been fully renovated and decorated in a fun style. It is a very old structure and the floors do not feel stable.
As stated in the description, very busy noisy location. Being used to noise, I had no trouble sleeping. No fancy but enjoyed my 2 night stay.
Althea is very responsive and a wonderful host. The property is well maintained and situated, near trans canada highway/downtown area. It’s well decorated with the basics covered(linens, toiletries, dishes etc.) and we had a very pleasant stay!
This house has basically been renovated from front to back and is tastefully done.
There were many supplies there for our use,. (soap, toothpaste, spices, coffee, tea, etc)
The bed was very comfortable and everything was in working condition.
I had one question and that was promptly replied to.I
I gave it only a 4 star for location, as it is on a busy road. We did get used to the noise, but you may want a white noise machine to drown out some of the noise in the later evening.
Would recommend.
