Fantastic property and location
Wow. This is a fantastic property and just as imagined. Yes it creaks, as it's all wooden, but that's all part of it. What an amazing location on a beautiful lake. This property has everything to make the most of your stay and to access the lake. There is plenty of communal space and 2 x double bedrooms. The kitchen is well stocked, with everything needed, and there are laundry facilities in the basement (accessed by a neat lift up hatch). Outside there are several decked areas for sitting, and viewing the lake, plus the dock on the lake with kayaks and lake access. There is a fire pit area and also BBQ plus a fantastic hot tub in which you can sit, turn of the lighting and view the stars! We had a great stay at this property. Kayaking, BBQ-ing, sitting out (in the sun and with the fire), using the hot tub and generally visiting the area. Can't thank the owner enough for making the property available for use. Plus the nearby town of Rawdon (20 min by car) has everything you need to stock up for your stay. We travelled from the UK, and whilst it's not total isolation, it certainly gives the impression of it. If we lived closer we would for sure be back.
