Historic1860's cottage, restored and refurbished with a mixture of the past and the present. Located in Historic South Street, a vibrant community bound by the shared love of days gone by. Relax and immerse yourself in our history. www.historicsouthstreet.co.nz.
Verandah on street front, private sunny courtyard, full kitchen, open plan dining/lounge. Close to restaurants, markets, museum and galleries.
The base rate is for 2 people. Extra adults are charged at $50 per night and children at $25 per night. Please note that Bookabach don’t currently have the ability to automatically differentiate adult vs children pricing as hosts would prefer, but we can update this once the booking is in place. They are working on making discount available for children.

Perfect... and perfectly clean.
This little cottage is perfect. I felt very comfortable. I loved the decore and the history. I am a clean freak and I couldn't fault anything. It is central Nelson. Saturday and Sunday markets are a short walk. (Just note that toilet has to be accessed through the bathroom and laundry which may be a bother when there are 4 people) If I was to come back to Nelson I would love to stay here again.

Lovely spacious heritage cottage
Dillon cottage was perfect for our two night stay in Nelson The cottage came with everything we needed and is an excellent location, being a short walk from the city and the cathedral on the hill. We have no issue recommending the cottage to anyone looking for comfortable and spacious accommodation in a lovely restored cottage.

Property is a lovely mix of the traditional with concessions to modern living. It felt like a walk back in time but with all the mod cons. Nelson district is interesting and diverse.

Amazing cottage, lots of history central to town. The Catheral was cool listening to the bells ringing. The cottage was well stocked warm, inviting and welcoming , thank you will definitely stay again.

Dillon Cottage
Ideally located historic cottage with easy access to explore the city and surrounds. Well appointed cottage, with all the necessary mod cons for a comfortable stay. The owner provided some homely touches with fresh flowers and a welcome sweet treat. We would highly recommend this accommodation, particularly for travellers who may not wish to drive everywhere to dine.

Perfection in central Nelson
What a beautiful little cottage - perfectly located close to downtown, just of the main road out of Nelson and close to countdown and new world. Jeanette went over and above to make sure we had all the best travel tips as well as everything we needed in the house. Can not recommend highly enough. Not many places you get to stay in one of the tourist attractions - staying in Smith St in a fully restored 1865 street was perfect - thankyou!

sweet little street
If you enjoy historic homes then you need to stay here. The house was very comfortable and well appointed, the residents went out of their way to be helpful and there are three very nice kitties on the street who made our stay complete.

Delightful cottage in excellent location
We couldn't have asked for a more lovely place to stay. The cottage was charming, clean, well-equipped and very comfortable. Jeanette was super friendly and helpful and we enjoyed meeting her on our way out. I highly recommend this VRBO and Nelson as a wonderful place to visit. The location of this cottage is just a few blocks from the city centre. Rent it!!!

Great property, fantastic location!
We stayed in the property for the last 2 nights and it was great to stay in a property with so much history! When we arrived, there was a tour group walking down the street, which of course prompted us to read all about the early history of the area. The property is within walking distance to everything in Nelson. We parked our car and walked everywhere. The property was clean and had everything that you could ask for. If you’re in the area, you must stay here!

I would give 6 stars if I could. Everything was perfect. Check in was very easy and it was always easy to reach the owner prior to check in. Super clean. Lots of space to relax after several days in small hotel rooms. such an easy walk to Hardy street with wonderful restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again.rooms.

Spacious, good location with friendly host and friend living in the street. Comfortable bed and bonus to have spare room for bags and clothes. Negative: Towels smelt stale, some of the pans needed washing before use. Kitchen cupboards needed a good clean

Redec villa, 2 bedroom, comfy beds, good hot water and washing machine. Kitchen well resourced. Enjoyed air conditioning on hot summer days - made sleeping easier.

Amazing stay in Nelson
We would recommend this property to anyone. Value for money was amazing and also being dog freidnly too made our stay even better having a great place for the whole family. Location was so superb too.
