Wonderful weekend in Wollombi
This property is approx. a 30 mins drive from Cessnock. It's a beautifully restored, character filled old home with all the modern cons to ensure our stay was a success. Both indoor and outdoor living enabled us to soak up the peace and quiet of Byora. Would highly recommend.

Charming property
Our stay at the property was excellent. It was clean, well organized and full charm. Peaceful setting, although the road nearby, Milsons Arm was busier than expected. Nice to stroll around the property or just take in the view front the deck. Location to Wollombi and surrounding areas is excellent. The house has history and charm, but modern appliances make life easy there. Totally recommend this property

About the host

Hosted by Wollombi Stays

Host profile image
I've been hosting tourist accommodation for visitors to Historic Wollombi Village for over 10 years. It started out with renting my own house and was such a success and I was having so much fun that I decided to help others in renting out their weekenders and homes too. It's now become a thriving little business that keeps me on my toes in to my retirement years. I love Wollombi and I love showing people what our valley has to offer. Whether you’re here for a wedding, concert or a weekend away with friends or family I’d love to help you out.

I’m more than your average Air Stayz host and will help you get organised with the best local restaurants, wineries, transport, recommendations and directions.

You can expect a bit of old fashioned customer service from me e.g. I like to meet up with guests and let them in to the properties to show them around. It’s also fine if you prefer for me to just hand over the keys! You can count on me to pick up the phone 99% of the time and am always a short drive away if you need a hand with anything from how to operate the toaster, to more serious stuff like plumbing or electrical probs (there’s rarely any, but it’s nice peace of mind). Most of the time once you've checked in I likely won't see you again as I like to think we've taken care of just about everything you could need for your stay.

As seasoned players in this game you can be assured that we know what a good weekend away looks like - that comfy beds and quality linen matters, that being on the tour bus route is a big tick and that the less you have to do the better. You'll also see that all my homes are a really convenient drive away from the Historic Village of Wollombi.

I'm always happy to chat on the phone and answer your questions.

Look forward to hosting you in Wollombi, Peter

Why they chose this property

Because it's the perfect luxury home for groups wanting to visit the Wollombi Valley. It's close to the village, is set on a large private property and is well equipped for guests.

The property is set on Milson's Arm Road. James Milson selected this piece of land in 1823 and the property was owned by the Milson family until the early 1900s. It's a very special property to experience when you visit the Wollombi Valley.
