The deck is the place to be in the spring, summer and fall months (and bright sunny days in winter) and one of the most amazing views in the resort. Enjoy the fire table lounging area in the fall and winter sunshine days with a blanket and a cozy drink to warm by the fire while eagles soar by or in the summer for fireside long visiting chats taking in the sailboats by day and at night, the stars put on a show ✨

Watch the sunrise over the mountains ahead with your fav morning coffee or tea over the opposite shore where light cascades down the vineyards and onto the lake and the deck. In the early afternoon, the sun passes overhead and the deck has full shade to watch the evening arrive. Al fresco evening dining in the warm months here feels like it could be on the Mediterranean as you watch the sun set on the opposite shore vineyards and the dusk approach.

Enjoy the gas fire table with good company and conversations and on clear nights the conditions are great for star gazing enthusiasts and sky buffs alike.

***A note that currently there is a boil water advisory for the entire resort. A new water treatment plant installed has not begun to function properly as of this time. To take care of our home and our guests we have newly installed a premium water UV and filtration purification system at the house in 2025. This ensures that no matter what the situation for the resort, we can ensure our home and guest experience will be a good one.***.
The cottage sits in the midst of Fintry park, a 360 hectare park and a nature lovers paradise. With beautiful hiking trails across the la Casa development and gorgeous view point with places to eat and take in the views. ATV trails connect into Fintry park set right behind and beside the development.
Fintry park official entrance is a 5 min drive from la Casa and offering many outdoor activités to enjoy including a waterfall hike that is beautiful to enjoy.
In the summer, Fintry park has a boat launch, canoeing, wind surfing and scuba diving at a the barge at Fintry park. There is a heritage area and manor house to explore speaking to the history of the site.
The Okanagan is wine country. There are some of the best wines in the world made here in this region and the cottage is surrounded by vineyards from a 15 minute to 30 min drive away to suit your preferences. There are wine tours that will pick you up, your you around and drop you off safe at home. For info just ask!
For those who are more geared towards craft breweries, West Kelowna (about 30 minutes away) offers a great selection of destinations to visit. Vernon (about 40 minutes away) also offers some great options to try as well.
Grocery delivery is a snap here at the cottage. Order from save on foods in west Kelowna and get your whole order delivered for the next morning after you arrive for less than $8 dollars. This is a great service that allows you to spend your time getting into vacation mode and not delaying your relaxing time by having to worry about shopping before you get here.
The heated pools and hot tubs, mini golf, tennis and pickle ball courts, floating water park areas (close a little earlier as lake gets cooler quicker around early to mid september) fenced in playgrounds, general convenience store with cafe and other selections, ice cream and more are open in the warmer months. Usually the pools and hot tubs, and most amenities are closed for the season by Canadian thanksgiving. They are open usually at the beginning of May for the season. There is an onsite general store and restaurant serving cocktails and casual fare for the nights you don't feel like cooking.
In the warmer months, golf carts are available for rental from the management area as well as paddle boards and kayaks. The beach area is accessible to golf carts but not cars. Cars will park at the lower parking lot close to the beach and water park area, about a 5 min walk to beach area along a trail.
There is a hiking trail on the road right below the cottage which is quick access to the beach and water park areas and is also a switchback hiking trail.
The beach is a rocky natural beach so water shoes for little ones and adults is recommended.
The lake is clean and clear. In the summer months it is quiet nice and refreshing. A breeze floats by often and sailboats and water sports boats regularly travel by. Read up on the legend of Ogopogo, (perhaps a long lost cousin of the Lochness creature) for fun.
The dog beach is located at the lower parking lot with a marked staircase down to the beach.
The boat launch is available in summer months and is narrower for information and a little steep. We prefer to go to Fintry park (is a 5 minute drive away) where there is a large boat launch for ease of use.
Boat-trailer parking is first come first serve in designated areas around the resort ( not parking in one of these areas results in a fine). Marina slip rental is organized by the management company and a link can be provided to set up a slip rental by contacting them.
In the winter enjoy cool bright sunny days walking the trails at the resort and lake shore or days cuddled up with a hot chocolate on the deck with a blanket and the fire table. On snow covered days enjoy snow shoeing in the trails up into the park behind the resort for breathtaking nature enjoyment. For those who have snow sleds, the resort is connected to back country trails to be enjoyed for fresh air days. Curl up by the fireplace with a good book and enjoy the lake view while enjoying the serenity of this resort in winter. On holiday times and long weekends enjoy the hot tubs surrounded by the snow. Silver star, a large family friendly mountain with amazing champagne Okanagan powder for alpine adventures is only just less than an hour drive.
