We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the apartment. It is a spectacular and well appointed accommodation. We loved the high ceilings, deco and the amenities, which included a Bluetooth speaker, coffee pods and chrome cast. Nice touches on top of a full kitchen, comfortable beds, a huge living space and a bathroom with a spa. All this in the center of Bendigo, with the Gallery, Restaurants, Supermarket, Train Station and Gardens within walking distance.
Leanne's apartment has the best location in the heart of Bendigo. Parking in the laneway is very tight for larger vehicles but with the Art Gallery, shops and various restaurants all within walking distance this wasn't a great concern. The apartment itself was very comfortable and cosy.
My friend and I stayed for 3 nights for the Wool Show. We thoroughly enjoyed the loft apartment - location was great, we walked to dinner all 3 nights, everything was so close. Especially loved the apartment itself- wonderful attention to detail. Fantastic stay.
Apartment was very chic with quality fit-out, had a great vibe, comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen and very nice bathroom and a second toilet next to the second bedroom.
Stayed here for the Bendigo yoga festival. It was a great location near railway station and cafes/restaurants. The apartment was spacious and comfortable with interesting ornaments and features. We loved the handmade crockery! Leanne was quick to respond to any questions and very accommodating. Would recommend this apartment for a trip to Bendigo.
Loved staying in the character filled Pip on Mitchell ( once the storage loft for a 19th Century Stationers Building).
Fun, comfortable, stylish, clean, well equiped and close to everything.
Process was easy with excellent communication and instructions from owner.
Parking in laneway below or on street.
Some stairs but wide with bannister.
Would love to catch me back sometime.

The Loft . . .
Did not end up staying at the property, only visited Tuesday evening as our house move was cancelled (Friday Night) but could not cancel the booking (Tuesday) We visited the Loft on Tuesday just to see what it was like and decided that our house was more comfortable plus the parking was impossible so we just went home. Noted there was an open jar of peanut butter in the cupboard, no toaster and there was a heater and fan in the bedroom wardrobes so only an air-conditioner in the lounge area. Quite a lot of stairs which should be mentioned for people with a bad hip.
Booked Pips on Mitchell with ease and the apartment was perfect. Felt just like a home away from home. Super clean, well appointed and the beds are super comfy. Highly recommend Pips on Mitchell - fabulous apartment.
We rented this apartment for our 3 night stay in Bendigo. The beautiful apartment had everything we needed and was in a perfect location. All the places we wanted to visit were within easy walking distance. Having a selection of restaurants and bars you could walk to in the evening was great.
Central location yet quiet. Beautifully decorated, well appointed, light and spacious, ideal for two travelers or two couples. Single travelers beware dark laneway access if returning home late.
This is a lovely apartment with lots of charm. Well appointed with everything you need. We enjoyed the rooftop in the evening. It is so close to everything in Bendigo. Highly recommend this property.
The apartment looked exactly as it did in the photos. We absolutely loved the location, and dealing with Leanne was easy and information supplied was a breeze to follow. The stairs up to the apartment would not suit everybody but for us it was not a problem .

About the host
Hosted by Leanne
Hi, I am Leanne and am a partner, a mother, an artist and always busy! I own another property down the coast and along with my partner, we also run Oxart Pottery in Taradale (close to Bendigo) I spend my time talking, creating, gardening, planning and designing and sometimes the obligatory book working! I obviously have a passion for creating and design and this is obvious in all aspects of my life and the thing that I love to share with my guests in the decoration and ambience of my properties. I am fortunate to have great health and in a position to enjoy what the world puts forth, so hope that my guests get the same experience and joy from their visits.
Why they chose this property
I fell in love with the history and funky personality of this apartment and knew that it would be the perfect place to stay for a Bendigo holiday. I love restoring and repurposing timber furniture and this loft apartment is just a blank canvas to fill with wonderful items and art that have great impact and hold their own in the absolute perfect setting. I think about and enjoy the 1st step up on the last flight of stairs, where it has worn from the many years of foot traffic and ponder who used to run up and down busily gathering stores. I love the loft window and the fact that you can open up to the world below as they did over 100 years ago! I love the open space and the immediate comfort that I feel when entering the apartment and the perfect window for growing plants in front of. It is very impressive that as you sit steeped in history and sharing the same height as the birds, that you are also in the centre of a bustling country city that has endured for centuries.
What makes this property unique
When you stay at Pips on Mitchell, you are absolutely in the centre of Bendigo. Everything that you might need or want to do is only a short walk away. Public transport is so conveniently close by that you can holiday without a car and forgo any parking concerns fuel costs.
