Welcome to “Minky Retreat!” Located on the South side of 30A in the beautiful neighborhood of Prominence, this brand new luxury beach home boasts gorgeous gulf views and is wonderfully located directly behind the shops and restaurants of The Big Chill! Enjoy walking or biking to dinner, or just going a few minutes down the road to the nearest beach access. Enjoy cooling off after a long day at the beach in one of the community 2 beautiful resort-style pools!

While staying in” Minky Retreat,” you’ll receive a free credit to use towards rental gear with Vacayzen The credit amount varies on the length of stay, and can be used towards various items such as bikes, beach bonfires, kayaks, tours/experiences and much more! (Not valid for use toward Merchandise at the Live Well 30A Storefront.)

Upon entering this brand new beautiful beach home you are able to walk down to the bunk room/kids area, or walk up to the main living level of the home. Not a fan of the stairs? Enjoy the homes private elevator to get to any of the homes 3 spacious floors! On the bottom floor of the home you will find a large bunk room with 2 sets of full over full built in bunks, as well as a full size Murphy bed! Also in the bunk room the kids have their own large flat screen smart tv, private bathroom, and access to a large outdoor covered patio.

Moving up to the homes main level you will be in awe of this open concert living/dining area, boasting a chefs dream kitchen, comfortable living room with plenty of seating for everyone, and access to a large patio with dining table and Gulf VIEWS!! Did we mention the GULF views!! Enjoy your coffee, or evening night cap on this wonderful covered patio with views for days! Also on the main level of the home there is a dining room, another patio off the front of the home, and 2 of the homes King Suites!

Walk or ride in the homes private elevator up to the 3rd floor of the home! On this level you will find 2 more beautiful guest King suites, as well as the stunning Master King Suite! The master suite boasts a beautiful king bed, sitting area, enormous bathroom with large walk-in shower, as well as access to a private balcony with seating for 2 to take in the sounds and views of the gorgeous Emerald Coast! While sleeping in this gorgeous master suite you can even hear the sounds of the Gulf!!

AMAZING

A beautiful home in a great location. I stayed with my family of 16 adults here for four days. The rooms, bathrooms and living spaces were spacious and stunning! It was in a great community with many delicious restaurants close by. Destiny was great to work with and answered any questions I had before and during my stay. This is an ideal place for large groups and being at the beach!!!

Excellent property!

We had a fantastic time!! Home was very spacious for 18 people. Elevator was used by me because of breathing issues, couldn’t have done without it! The Hub was awesome for the kids to ride bikes too and the adults enjoyed watching March Madness! Had to drive to the beaches but we knew that when we booked! Fun was had by all and it was a great family vacation which was much needed! ❤️😎☀️🕶️🐟🎣

Perfect house for family fun!

The home was plenty big but not too big that you lost track of family members. It was decorated beautifully and felt like home in a beach way! We will be back!

Perfect for Multiple Families

The Minky Retreat is a really nice property! It’s the perfect house for multiple families! The elevator was helpful for those with bad knees to get upstairs. We really liked the large porch out the basement door and we used the outdoor dining table off the main floor. Mgmt was easy to work with on our golf cart issues.

Amazing family friendly home

We absolutely loved the house, and it was so wonderful working with the owners. Anything that we needed they immediately responded and having the elevator was so helpful for our elderly grandmother. It’s so close to the Hub and beach accesses. We loved the home, golf cart and hospitality!

Awesome home with lots of space!

My family and I absolutely loved this place! It has a big open kitchen and family room on the main level that was great for shared meals. The home is new and in good shape, definitely in a nice community with security, we felt safe having the kids play night games and explore the neighborhood or walk to the pool on their own. This home is walking distance to the pool and local shops. We rented a golf cart, and I would definitely recommend doing that! The area is very friendly to golf carts and was so fun to run around on them. The closest beach is about a half-mile away, so this made it easy to shuttle kids and gear back and forth. The Two garages were really nice to have as well. One is filled with a foosball and ping pong table, while the other acted as a staging area for us to drop sandy shoes and towels without bringing it into the house. Would highly recommend this area and especially this house!

Fall Break Getaway

Minky Retreat in Prominence is a lovely home! It was nicely decorated and all the bedrooms were extremely comfortable with lush bedding. The home is very large and very well stocked with beach chairs, carts, boogie boards and beach towels. The kitchen is very well stocked too. When looking off the porch to the right there is a beautiful view of the gulf. (not common in this neighborhood) This home is towards the back of the neighborhood and it was calm and quiet. Prominence has no access to the beach, so if this matters to you it's probably not a good fit. There is a golf cart available for an extra fee and bikes which we used the entire time. Deer Lake State Park is 1/2 mile to the left - it requires walking down a boardwalk over the dunes to access the beach- and then gulf lakes is a 1/2 mile to the right out of the neighborhood. It is a busy area but my teens preferred the gulf lakes access. You can get to Seaside in 15 minutes on the golf cart and Rosemary is even closer. You can bike to these places as well. The "Big Chill" at the front of the neighborhood is convenient for eating and some shopping. Very kid friendly neighborhood. The property managers were very attentive and quick to respond to all of my questions. I recommend them!

Beautiful house, terrible beach access

The house was very nice, and check in was easy, golf cart worked well as did the bikes- however, beach access is awful. There is private access right behind the house but you aren’t allowed to use it which was incredibly frustrating. You have to load the cars up everyday, drive 2.5 miles to the access- there are only 7 parking spots for this beach access. The dishwasher was also broken during our stay - they called the day of check in to let us know- and provided some paper products however- there was no drain stopper to do dishes- we called twice for one and never received. The elevator broke twice during our stay as well as the garage door. So while the house was nice, the beach access was really disappointing!

Minky Retreat

First off I want to say that the house is spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed it. That’s all the compliments I can give. One question I have is- how the hell do you have a house with 6 bedrooms that only has vehicle parking for two vehicles. Addition parking was suggested to us, to park in a “PUBLIC” parking lot such as a grocery store etc. Then the very first evening while settling in, my mom and my 81 year old dad who has dementia got stuck in the elevator on the way up to their bedroom, for about an hour, til the fire department came and finally opened it, which triggered him into a state of mind that caused us to have to take them back to Georgia immediately after getting out of the elevator because my mom can’t drive at night. Then next day we were very disappointed to find out that the pool that is right next to us was “PRIVATE “ YEP—we were told we couldn’t enter this gate because it was “PRIVATE”, then come to find out that everything around us was PRIVATE, it seems like everyone we spoke to has a key fob to the gate but we have to use pools that wasn’t on the property and the ones suggested to us had very limited parking and one pool was even on the other side of 30A. And the beaches, that was a true nightmare. There is a walkway/cartway within 50 feet from our back porch that goes straight to the beach. Nope can’t use that either !!!!!! That’s “PRIVATE “. so we have to use “PUBLIC ACCESS BEACHES” That you have to drive to, and also there again limited parking. Dragging tents, chairs, ice chests and bags for a quarter mile. I’ve stayed in hotels, condos and even houses that didn’t have the restrictions that we dealt with this week. We felt like third class citizens that paid over $7000 for 5 days and nights for some R and R, I’ve never spent that amount of money and I never worked so hard on vacation. So R and R is not an option unless you plan to stay at the house.

The property was amazing. The house could not have been nicer.....but it is really deceiving to be able to see the beach from the house and have to pack up 12 people (including 2 seniors) and go 2.5 miles for beach access. According to the signs on the gates owners can access the beach from "Providence" . For the money I feel we should have been given that access as well.

40th Birthday!

The Minky Retreat was great! The house is absolutely gorgeous and very well equipped with beach towels, beach chairs, wake boards, bikes, coolers, kitchenware, etc! We cooked several meals in the gourmet kitchen and had everything we needed. The elevator was so helpful with luggage and groceries. The only downside to our stay was the dishwasher was broken all week so we had to wash a lot of dishes. Maintenance was there right away, though, it just needed a new motor, which they couldn’t get right away. The beach access isn’t great. There is no walkable beach access at all. We had to load up our cars every day and drive several miles to beach access with parking. There is a golf cart on site. The welcome binder said we could rent it for $75 per day, but the owners said we weren’t allowed to use it, so that was a bit disappointing. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay at the Minky Retreat. Thanks for your hospitality!!

Amazing house that feels nicer than home!

We loved staying in this brand new, gorgeously decorated home that was in the perfect location. Close to the Hub, but far enough away to avoid the crazy! The home had all the amenities we needed and everything to have a perfect day at the beach. The owners had thought out every detail and left nothing for chance! The decor was beautiful and made me want to take pictures and try to copy it when I got home. It is super fresh, clean and high end. I really felt like I was staying at a five star resort! We loved all super soft minky blankets in the bedrooms and especially loved our complimentary blanket. We will be back Minky Retreat!

Amazing Home, in an amazing neighborhood...

What an incredible house. We were a party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) everyone had a bedroom and loved their accommodations. The décor was like something out of a Coastal Living Magazine; someone took great care and attention to detail on selecting all of the furnishings and accessories. Beautiful. The neighborhood, and access to the HUB (the outdoor eating, shopping and entertainment area at the front of the neighborhood) was perfect and within walking distance. If I were to give any cons, and its very hard to, I would only say that finding beach access was a bit of a puzzle...although we managed and made due. We later discovered that this is a bit of an issue anywhere in this area, not a issue exclusive to this home/neighborhood. bottom line: The home was a amazing and will dazzle anyone. Also, lastly, the management company was very quick and attentive with answering questions and with helpful advice.
