Cottage in the forrest
Lovely little cottage. Perfect for the two of us. Clean, cute and very well set up. We enjoyed a beautiful night in the forrest. The gardens are beautifully layed out, lovely to look at relaxing on the verandah. The fire was perfect as it was rather a cold night. And the spa bath was just the way to relax before bed. Tony and Maria were fantastic hosts. We will deffinately be back.

Breath taking
What an amazing experience we had. Maria and Tony were so accommodating and lovely to deal with. The cottage was beautiful and just what we wanted. We booked the couples massage which my husband and I both said was the best massage we've ever had... The experience as a whole was amazing and just what the dr ordered. We will most definitely be back

Cozy Cottage
A family wedding at Lyre Bird Falls in Kallista brought us to The Mountain View Cottage at The Patch and how lucky were we to find this little gem. Maria and Tony were the perfect hosts and ensured we didn’t want for anything. A very generous continental breakfast was provided for the 3 days and Maria checked in with us to ensure we had enough supplies to last. We took advantage of the well stocked fire which added to the charm of the cozy cottage. The gardens were lovely and I can imagine in spring they would be magnificent (might need to go back and check them out then). Everything about our stay was seamless and the location to the wedding venue was perfect. I would definitely highly recommend .

Time to unwind
Beautiful history of the patch made it feel special, the heritage listed vegetation on the estate also made it feel special, special location among the Dandenong ranges gives you the perfect place to breath in the fresh air. The cottage had everything you need to take the time to unwind. Will definitely coming back to this place that also had perfect hosts on the estate.

Why they chose this property

Drawn to its character and charm, we could not deny the rich local history that Weardale Estate was steeped in. This establishment had been known by many names over the past few decades, but when we found out that “Weardale“ was the site of the first habitable building in The Patch (formally known as “The Valley”) in the late 1880's and later as a guest house once the original homestead was built around 1912.

What makes this property unique

Weardale Estate is beautiful, peaceful and serene. It is also close to quaint villages, restaurants , iconic landmarks, many wedding venues, parks and gardens here in the Dandenong Ranges. Back at the turn of the last century, the expanse of lawns here at Weardale, used to be double tennis courts, where tennis enthusiasts and writers would come to “Weardale” to escape the congestion of Melbourne. Fast forward 110 years, this charming, peaceful and beautiful Estate, is still a place that people choose to “Come away”. Many love it here and we hope that you do to.
