The VILLA MINOS offers a high level of service and comfort. There is a Meet and Greet service with a basic food starter pack should you be arriving late, a mid week clean with change of towels and sheets. This modern villa is an hour by car from Heraklion airport. In a sought after location, set in an elevated position but close to the beach with views over the Bay of Elounda, and the surrounding Cretan mountains. Built on two levels, the ground floor has been designed with a well equipped modern kitchen, an open plan living/dining area with comfortable seating, air- conditioning and a TV with English & multi language channels plus FREE DIRECT TELEPHONE CONNECTED BROADBAND WI-FI, which will allow the UK Television Channels to be streamed via an Amazon Firestick on to our large screen television. There are two large comfy sofas. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), both air-conditioned,with patio doors leading out onto sea-view balconies. Each has its own luxury bathroom with a power shower.

Relaxation in a beautiful setting!

This property is exactly as advertised. Lovely cool, shiny, clean entrance, kitchen with everything you need, a comfy lounge area and 2 large bedrooms with a bathroom each! Both with balconys too! Then there's the pool! It was cleaned twice during our stay. Beautiful views over Elounda with plenty of room around the pool for dining, sunbathing and just pure relaxation. A couple of beautiful walks down to Elounda town, with Tavernas en-route! Always a bonus! Overall, a fantastic stay. Thanks Andrew and Rose. We will definitely be back! Tracy and Martin x

A hidden gem with views to die for...

Villa Minos was perfect. I travelled with my wife and 15 year old daughter. We flew to Heraklion and hired a car to drive to the villa. Even with a few hours delay, Rose (property manager) was really helpful and accommodating and met us at the property. The villa was lovely and I don't think the photo's do it justice. It's modern, clean, a good size for 4 people. The bedrooms and downstairs had effective and much needed air conditioning, The pool area, sunbeds and seating areas provided lots of outdoor eating/drinking space. The views from the pool terrace were amazing - perfect to watch the day go by and sun go down behind the villa - the colours on the mountains in the distance were photographed almost every evening. The kitchen has all the mod-cons including dishwasher and washing machine. The villa is in Mavrikiano. Near to the villa (less than 5 minutes walk) were 2 tavernas and a Cretan Pub - all with beautiful views over Elounda bay. I'm not going to lie, Mavrikiano is on a very steep hill but this shouldn't put anyone off. We went into Elounda several times which was a 10-15 minute walk down the hill. There are so many bars/restaurants and shops down there - everything you need. The beach in Elounda was nice - and 2 sunbeds & parasol were a reasonable 8 euros for the day. I would highly recommend Villa Minos and this area of Crete. A lovely relaxing, chilled holiday! Thank you!

Beautiful villa with amazing views!

We had a wonderful holiday staying at Villa Minos! The villa itself is beautiful. All of the rooms are spacious, modern and immaculately clean. The kitchen is well stocked, the pool is a great size and clean and the gardens are pretty and well kept. Wifi is very good as is the air conditioning too.The views from the gardens, pool area and both bedroom balconies are beautiful - absolutely picture perfect. You'll see the steep hill mentioned to reach the villa, the last short road is steep but we walked to and from town everyday, though less abled walkers may struggle in which case it is drivable with parking space directly in front of the villa. We walked through the village and olive groves instead, a gentler and less hilly walk before the last incline, though the villa and views are well worth it! We found the villa in a quiet and safe village area, the residents we passed were happy and welcoming, greeting us everyday and there are good tavernas close by too. The walk to the main town is 10 -15 minutes and the town and beach are beautiful with a great choice of restaurants and shops. Andrew's correspondence was fast and excellent, booking was smooth and easy and the villa details and local details were clear and helpful. Rose met us at the villa and is lovely, knowledgeable about the area and keeps the villa well stocked and immaculately clean. We have no hesitation recommending the Villa and hope to be back soon, enjoy!

Comfortabele villa met prachtig uitzicht

We hebben enorm genoten van ons verblijf in de villa. De villa is prachtig gelegen met een heel mooi uitzicht over de baai. Het huis is netjes en alle apparatuur doet het naar behoren. De communicatie over aankomst en vertrek of als er iets aan de hand is verloopt vlot en prettig. De baai van Elounda is heel gezellig met veel goede restaurantjes en leuke winkeltjes. We hebben zelf ook uitstapjes met de auto gemaakt. Het enige wat iets minder prettig is, is de steile weg omhoog naar de villa. Dat wende wel maar was de eerste keren even spannend.

Amazing view!!

Perfect for 4 people. Close to the village and Platka. Gret food and great people. The only problem others might have is driving up the hill and avoiding the cars, motorcycles, obstacles. Parking is very tight, no room for errors. Be aware and be careful!!!!

Viva the Villa and Village!

The property is nestled on the peak of a hillside overlooking sea and village views. The house is very comfortable and well suited for a visitor’s stay. The view is spectacular from the pool, deck, and lower patio. The people of elounda and the surrounding area offer heartwarming hospitality. Rose, the property manager and the guests direct support, is ever so helpful. The beach below is right in town and both are about a half mile walk. Please note that the road up the final segment to the villa is steep. Some may be daunted to drive it but it is manageable!

Incredible views in Elounda

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Minos! Breathtaking views from every window and gorgeous home. We cooked several nights and the kitchen is well stocked for meals. Great location for exploring Elounda & Plaka as well as many side trips. We took the ferry excursion to Chrissi Island, tour of Knossos, wine tasting, Spinalonga & lots of beach time. Andrew was very prompt with all of his communication. Highly recommend this as your home base in Elounda.

Lovely villa

We had a fabulous holiday at Villa Minos. Views from all windows, doors, terraces, balconies and pool absolutely stunning and villa beautiful and immaculately clean. Villa is very well kitted out and everything we needed was available. Rose the property manager was very helpful and gave us advice about local restaurants. We had a car and this was an excellent base to visit the eastern end of Crete. Also visited Minoan palace at Malia, drove up into the mountains to Lasithi and visited the classical site of Lato. There is so much to see and do on Crete. Would highly recommend this lovely villa.

Great Villa with super elevated sea views

Beautiful Villa with elevated sea views over the bay & further over to Elounda. Only a 10/15 minute (downhill) walk into the centre of Elounda through olive groves & along the way there are 2 bars - should you need refreshments, incidentally both bars share the same magnificent views as the Villa. What’s not to like!

Maison très confortable avec superbe vue

La maison est très bien située, proche des commerces et de tavernes à pied, tout en ayant un environnement calme. Elle fait partie d’une rangée de 4 maisons identiques et nous avions de la chance d’avoir des voisins non bruyants. La vue de la villa sur la baie d’Elounda est tout simplement époustouflante. La maison était très propre, elle a tout le confort nécessaire et est très bien équipée. La climatisation fonctionne très bien. Très très bonne qualité de literie. La piscine était très bien entretenue et même petite, elle était bien agréable, toujours avec cette vue exceptionnelle sur la mer. Plusieurs dysfonctionnements à notre arrivée mais Rose a tout fait pour y remédier en moins de 24 heures. Néanmoins, la TV n’a pas fonctionné pour nous (disons que de mon avis, ce n’est pas essentiel pour ce genre de vacances) et le WIFI est lent et quasiment inexistant à l’etage. La maison était pour nous idéale pour profiter de la région.

Superbe endroit

Merci pour l’accueil c’était top, l’endroit, l’emplacement. La maison est vraiment fonctionnelle, très proche du centre de Elounda à 1H de Heraklion. La piscine est ensoleillée jusqu’à au moins 17H30. Le matin est un vrai bonheur. Fortement recommandé.

Great location

I thought the location of the property was good, a short walk into town with its restaurants, bars and shops. However, the town of Elounda was a bit disappointing and not as charming as many others in Greece. The property itself was good, if a little basic inside - however the pool and views were excellent. The manager, Rose, was very helpful and charming.

Lovely villa, wonderful views

Our family of four have just returned from a two week stay at Villa Minos in Elounda. The villa is in an elevated position which gives amazing views of the bay and surrounding areas. The only down side to this is the steep hill to get to the villa. The villa itself is well looked after by Rose and has everything you need for your stay. There is a good selection of TV channels and a good quality radio. There is plenty of room outside with a variety of seating. The main resort and beach is around a 15 minute walk, there is a variety of bars and restaurants. We found the staff in all the restaurants very friendly and welcoming. We visited Plaka, the next resort, about an hours walk or 8 euros in a cab, which is a lovely little resort. We also visited Spinalonga which was nice. We all had a wonderful time, thank you.

Beautiful view

We stayed 5 nights- a family of 4 adults - and loved the villa, the view and the location. The place is modern and really well laid out with a great pool and terrace, big enough for 4 and quite private. There are some lovely tavernas within a few minutes walk, we tried 2 of them (Hope and Despina) and they were both excellent. The hill climb to get to the villa is really steep and tricky to drive up, at least the first time, but worth it for spectacular views over the bay. All in all highly recommended.

Terrific villa and location

We had high expectations for Villa Minos having looked at the pictures and read the reviews. We were not disappointed! We are a family of four, with two children aged 14 and 12, and we all had a fabulous holiday. The view from the villa is simply stunning day and night. The pool is a good size and got very well used. The villa is modern and very clean and was just the right size for us. It is well equipped and had everything we needed. The location is superb. Very quiet and away from it all yet easily accessible on foot to Elounda. Loads of fantastic places to eat pretty much on the doorstep. The villa and pool were both cleaned and bedding changed regularly throughout our stay. Really lovely and interesting area. Plenty to do and see - we didn’t do as much as we had intended to do however because we were enjoying chilling out in the lovely villa! Organisation via Andrew was very straightforward and Rose greeted us on arrival and was very helpful throughout our stay. All in all a great holiday - we didn’t want to leave! We would have no hesitation in recommending Villa Minos.

Fantastic villa, stunning scenery, overall experience 10/10

Our trip to villa Minos was one we’ll never forget. My girlfriend and I (she’s now my fiancé but more on that shortly) went away with another couple (we are all 26-28yrs old) and we had the best holiday and stay at villa Minos. The first thing to mention is the pictuares on this site absolutely do not do this villa justice. There’s more space than we imagined. The kitchen is practical and useful. The bedrooms are very comfy with plenty of space, but most of all the bathrooms are very modern, marble, and importantly... clean. We weren’t 100% sure what to expect from seeing the villa online, but knew it had a pool, was close to a small sandy beach and walking distance to Elounda which was good enough for us. But honestly, the villa is amazing. Greatly exceeded our expectations. There’s a lovely space down the bottom of the garden for BBQs and drinks under a pergula. The pool is a fine size for cooling down and dipping, but isn’t massive if you’re looking to play games in, but suited us just fine. The scenery and views from the villa are truly stunning. To wake up, spend the day, watch the sun go down looking out over the sea, the mountains beyond, and the town of elounda hustling and bustling below we really loved. Elounda also had far more going for it than we oringally expected. Plenty of restaurants (we tried many of them and not one bad meal), quite a few bars and places for drinks. Again a very pretty scenic little marina but plenty big enough to keep us entertained for two weeks. We also hired a boat from Minos boats nearby for the day which was a highlight of the holiday. We visited the water park which is only 45 mins away. So plenty to keep you entertained. Andrew and his team, (Rose,Janet) did everything they could to make our stay pleasant, enjoyable and smooth so a massive thanks to you all! It really was the perfect holiday and as much as I’d like to not recommend the villa (so we can return easily without it being booked up) I Simply cannot say a bad word. You will see some reviews mention “the hill”, the villa is up a very steep hill at the top of Mavrikiano. The hill is walkable and we enjoyed as a bit of exercise each day, but it is steep. Elounda will always hold special memories as I proposed to my girlfriend out there. We will certainly be returning to this place at some point in the future. Thanks once again from 4 very happy holidaymakers.
