Love this!!

Condo was as described. Beds comfy. Kitchen stocked. Love the location of this condo. Can walk to our favorite places. We have stayed over 10 times in this complex, first time in this unit. This unit is on the 7th floor and that was a bonus. Lots of people and the elevators were always busy. Not having to ride up higher was a plus for sure!! Would stay again!!

Vacation

Very nice and spacious condo. Master bed big and comfy. Beautiful view of the ocean. Sea and Suds right next door with yummy food. Kitchen was well supplied with utensils needed for cooking. Make sure to take extra trash bags or Walmart is near by. Nice table on balcony. Enjoyed this condo. Can't wait to rent again!!!!

Family stay for daughter's wedding

My husband and I stayed here with our son's family to attend our daughter's wedding. With all of the stress surrounding a destination wedding, the lack of stress with this property was great. The property was as advertised. The beds were very comfortable. My grandchildren loved the bunk bed with the TV on cartoons. We cooked one night and had all appliances and utensils that we needed. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Finally, thank you for your patience answering my questions before we arrived.

Snowbirds

It is almost time to go home after staying 2 months in this beautiful condo. We loved our stay here it has everything that is needed to live comfortably. We loved the heated pool, the workout room and the hot tub. The condo is located in the center of everything and is within walking distance to eating & shopping. It is truly a beautiful condo and made us feel right at home. We had 3 grandsons come to stay a week and they loved their own room and the bunkbeds. Thank you Larry and Jan for sharing your condo with us. We will definatly stay here again when coming back to Alabama.

OMG! WHAT A CONDO! WHAT A VIEW! WHAT A LOCATION!

Wow! This condo was everything the owners portrayed that it was and more! It was clean and comfortable with a fantastic view and location. Dave and I were able to walk to the pier, Sea 'n Suds, the Hangout, and Bahama Bob's. Last fall we stayed at the owners' Boardwalk condo (VRBO 242686). It was great, but this condo takes greatness to another level. Jan and Larry were readily available when we had questions. WE WILL BE BACK!

Vacation getaway

Rented the property almost a year ago. We have stayed at Seawind 3 different times but this was the first time it was during busy summer season. Elevators were horrible. Numerous times we waited for 15 minutes or longer to get an elevator and there were times they weren’t working at all. The property contact had not sent any of the check in process or information so 30 minutes past check in time I was still trying to get the code to get in the door. I learned a very important lesson this stay in that even though you are renting a condo there the parking is not free and you have to pay $25.00 for each parking tag. The security guard was very friendly and helpful. The condo was not cleaned very well when we checked in. There was chips and crumbs throughout the condo and even in one of the beds. I love this location and will probably stay there again.

The view is great and loved being right on the beach. The elevator situation is ridiculous though. Only one of 2 works 99% of the time for a building with 18 floors. The pool was gross and cloudy and we didn’t get in it once. Our guest bathroom did not have hot water in the shower. Notified the owner one day into our stay and never got fixed. We weren’t provided with any trash bags to start the trip so bring your own. You have to spend an additional $40 (not $25) on a parking pass and we had to buy our own pool passes as they weren’t provided either (like they were supposed to be). The TV in the guest room does not work. Overall the location is good and the beach view is great. But for the money you spend on this condo, you could spend just slightly more and get a much better experience.

Review

Access information was not available on the check in instructions nor were check out instructions available on the app. After messaging through the app and text messaging, we finally had to call to get the access information. We checked in a day late due to circumstances at home. This would have been a big issue had we come over very late the night before, which we've had to do multiple times. The picture of the pool is a little deceiving. There is only a small kiddie pool area and the other pool which is on the neighboring property doesn't have a lot of outside area. The pool was closed so I'm not sure what it looked like on the inside. We originally made our reservations because of the Hangout Festival. Instead of cancelling as Hangout did, we kept our reservations. When I asked if I would be refunded the $400.00 "Music Festival" fee, I got no response and still have not had a response. I only asked because last year the same thing happened and the owner refunded that money to us. Despite of the minor disappointments, the place is gorgeous and we thoroughly enjoyed our time away.

Good beach side condo.

Everything was as advertised. It was clean and well maintained. I took off one star because I had to contact the owner for the condo door code and the code to get access to the exercise room. He answered within a day which was good, but I think that information should have been provided without having to ask.

Gulf Shores Getaway

Our stay was great. The condo is a great size for three couples and had the right amount of amenities for us. The location is ideal and allowed us to easily walk to lots of stuff. We had a small snafu on first arriving, but Larry took care of it immediately. The beach front is awesome and we had a lot of fun playing and lounging. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Great location!

We really enjoyed the location of the condo, as we were able to just walk right out on the beach or out the door to an assortment of restaurants and shops. Family members who wanted more of a workout really enjoyed the building’s gym, and fun activities like parasailing were available right at the beach. The communication with The owners was always clear and timely, and we really appreciated the opportunity to stay here and would do it again for sure.

Wonderful location!

We absolutely loved our stay with Larry! The condo was pretty large, we had plenty of room with 6 adults, a 3 year old, and a 7 month old. The girls loved all of the beach toys that were stocked in the laundry room. The only complaint is that there are only 2 elevators for the entire building, they kept breaking down and constantly needing repairs, so we had to walk up 7 flights of stairs a few times. Overall, 10/10 would recommend.

Our stay was great but there were a few light switches that need to be fixed, the toiled didn’t flush easily, and the washer reeked of mildew. Other than those things it was great! Easy beach access. We had everything we needed for the beach and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. And everything was really close to the condo!

Very Nice!

The condo was updated with modern decor and amenities. There were only a few issues with housecleaning, but nothing major at all. The only maintenance issue we had was checked on and scheduled for repair after we left, so not to interfere with our stay. I found that respectful. Overall, we had a great stay and the weather was perfect!

Great place

We enjoyed our stay. Owner is very easy to get ahold of. Condo was great. We had four adults, two teens, one year old and newborn. Couldn’t hear neighbors at all! There is a little market right across the street, great for food and stuff you might need without a trip to Walmart. There is a crockpot in the condo, don’t find that much in places you stay. Didn’t use, but love that it’s there! Right on the beach. We camped out under the Sea n Sud’s restaurant on the beach. The parking garage is very tight fit if you have a large truck, but all of the surrounding condos parking has the same issue. There are only two elevators for the building, making it a little hard to get on during “rush hour”, 3-6. Would stay again for sure!

Great condo but some areas need vast improvement !

Let me start by saying Seawind 705 was a beautiful condo. It met our families needs. The light switches and electricity could probably use a little work, but other than that it was a good stay. Bring your own toilet paper, paper towels, dish washer packets, laundry detergent, coffee, salt & pepper etc. also bring extra towels if you have a family staying there. The parking was absolutely dreadful !!!! They have a nice parking garage, however it’s “a park wherever you want” type garage and if you leave in the evening and come back, you may or may not have a place to park your vehicle !There was also several illegal parking going on up and down the ramps which made it hard to get in and out ! I was thankful that I had family staying at another condo down the road because that is where I had to park one evening ! They need to have that set up WAY better than what it is ! The spaces need to be numbered and security needs to enforce the parking situation. It has me reconsidering if I will ever stay at the Seawind again due to this matter. The elevators were also bit of a situation, but one we just dealt with since we had no other options. I can’t take the stairs due to knee problems. Sometimes you can get straight on the elevators and other times you wait for 20 plus minutes. I also didn’t understand why we had to purchase bands to have access to the pool that was apart of our condo stay. But again, just a little annoyance. Overall we enjoyed the beautiful beach, our nice condo, and our visit as a whole in Gulf Shores.

This has a great layout, close to restaurants, and wonderful view/beach access. The pool was closed during our whole stay, which was disappointing, but it looked nice from what we saw. They are painting the whole building and it looks nice!

Jan loves to get a suntan, we both love to walk the beach and sit on the deck with a nice beverage and just think how lucky we are just to be there. We both have been in business for years and find it hard to get away but we wish we were in Gulf Shores almost every minute.

Why they chose this property

We looked all over the US for a beach condo and fell in love with Gulf Shores. In 2004 we purchased a condo next door at the Boardwalk. It was what we could afford and it is a great unit, when Sea Wind came up we knew we would love to own a condo is this fantastic building with everything you would ever want. At that time the price was $600,000 and we could not swing that. Needless to say prices came down and we now feel very lucky to own Sea Wind 705 and 1405 as well as our 2 condos at the Boardwalk 585 and 886. I promise you this will be a dream vacation. We are in the best location, Well furnished and decorated, top of the line almost new condo with all the amenities you could ever want, indoor outdoor pool, Sauna Hot tub, Media Room, lot's of activities on the beach and hundreds of great restaurants.

What makes this property unique

Location, Location, Location, just 3 blocks from the 59 T, Hangout, Pink Pony and very close to 15 or so other restaurants. Great view from our huge deck, our Deck furniture is Bar height so you can easily see over the railing, Our Bunk Room has a set of Full over Full Bunks. Seawind 705 it truly one of Seawind's top condos.
