About this property

Huge farm house, great for families and gatherings.

Large north facing deck with a BBQ, huge table with benches overlooking Emu Creek and the ranges make it a perfect location for families and gatherings!
Can sleep up to 12 guests in 8 beds. Wood fire to keep you warm on those chilly winter nights.
Plenty of activities close by including Cowboy UP horse riding, Crows Nest and Cooyar National Parks, Rail trail in Blackbutt and the state forest which is great for Adventure bike riding. Head down to the creek for a swim and spot a platypus.

Heaps happening in Crows Nest- the motorcycle friendly town!

We can assist with catering packs for bike riders and people who cannot carry gear. Drop us a message to discuss. Happy to share my local knowledge of tracks and back roads.

Pet friendly and could accomodate horses as well.
Perfect house for groups to come and relax or have a respectful party!!!

Campfire available- we can supply firewood at cost or bring your own. No wifi and only Telstra mobile network available which at times is patchy. The communal beds listed are on the sleep out and separated by room dividers. Insect screens to main part of the house and working on sleep house. As of January 2024 all locks updated so house is fully secure! Ceiling fans in bedroom 1&2 with 3 floor fans that can be used in other spaces.

Family of 12 with 3 dogs and we loved the accomodation and location. Very relaxing and peaceful. The creek was beautiful with lovely pools for a swim. Will defitely return for a second visit.

Prepare for internet detox
The hosts are wonderful, but the rural area has some pros and cons. The only mobile provider that has one bar of service in one room of the house is Telstra. No Vodafone, no Optus. Even Telstra goes to 3G quite often. During the storms hot water was switching off, had to contact the host to get it back on. No screens in some rooms, and even with the screens I had 5 different types of bugs crawling all over my bed in droves each night. Might suit an eager entomologist. The property doesn’t have working locks, we were advised not to leave any valuables. Lots of dilapidated barns and sheds on the land, might be not safe for really young kids. Water might be drinkable but tasted different, ended up buying 10l cans from the grocery store. Very peaceful and quiet, lots of puzzles, dvds and books. A working dishwasher and a grill. If you decide to do horse riding at the Cowboy Up, it’s better to take the highway. Google maps suggests a 15 minutes route that requires a 4WD and to open and shut some gates, remove fallen trees from the road and takes about 35 minutes.
