Beautiful condo & complex but lacking in some basic household items

This condo is a comfortable, modern condo in a lovely gated condo complex. However, it was missing a number of essential kitchenware items. The condo is located in a less than desirable area but within reasonable driving distance to Gilbert, Scottsdale and Chandler. This is not an area where you can walk to cafes and quaint shops. Having a car is a must if staying here.The recreation center which houses two (outdoor) pools, two hot tubs and an exercise room is a big bonus in this complex and a great way to relax and soak up some sun.

Not as Advertised: No Pool or Hot Tub Access

We booked this property for the Mesa Marathon weekend. We chose it primarily because they advertise prominently, pool and hot tub access. They also show photos of the club house, pool table, pool, etc. Our plan was to run the marathon on Saturday, and we booked until Monday so we could recover and relax on Sunday using the pool, hot tub, grill outside, play some pool, etc. However, NONE of this was available to us -- allegely due to COVID-19, though the pandemic has been officialy over for more than two years now! I did write to the property manager about it and got no response. EXTREMELY disappointe. DO NOT BOOK if the pool, hot tub, outdoor grills, rec center are important to you because they simply are not open for your use.

Mostly good

Pros- Mostly clean, except boogers on the walls in multiple spots Property contact super responsive. Property was lacking dishware and cutlery enough for six people and someone brought new ones over right away. Great natural lighting in some rooms (kinda dark though in other rooms). Gated community clean and quiet, but surrounding neighborhood looks much different. Club house is open, contrary to what the listing states. Great area with gym, lounge, billiards. Hot tub and pool working and clean. 3 minute walk. Board games provided: uno, scrabble, monopoly. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful artificial plants throughout offered some touches of color, along with sitting chairs in master bedroom and artwork. Carpet comfortable and clean (except for a few stains). Laundry easy to use. Cons- Garage door remote did not work. Sometimes the keyless entry got stuck and would have to be reset. Living room light never worked, likely because the remote didn’t work and the battery is not a typical one. Some pots and pans were unusable. One bedroom (left side) did not work. Cold faucet in hallway bathroom did not work Kitchen sink barely warm water. Cool water if two people showering at same time. Be prepared to bring toiletries. They provide small bottle of lotion, body wash, and conditioner, but only enough for about two uses. No dishwasher detergent. Also, only two pool towels and 4 washcloths provided. Soap dispenser in half bath did not work. Bed linens were very thin and worn.

Beautiful home with great amenities and location

Our family of 5 loved our stay at the Palms. This home is beautifully decorated and CLEAN! It is the cleanest rental we have stayed in this far. The house is plenty big with space for everyone to spread out when relaxing. Having a garage to park the vehicle was a great bonus! The house is in a gated community with two pools and hot tubs. There is a clubhouse that offers billiards, as well. The pool area was perfect! Both pools are very large. The only downfall was one pool is not heated and was not quite warm enough during our stay. But we still enjoyed the heated pool. The house is located just off the highway and we were minutes away from shopping and restaurants. We drove to Phoenix for hiking, Sloan park and downtown Gilbert and all were no more than a 20 minute drive. We will definitely recommend this rental to friends and family!

Spring break Mesa

Loved this home. The location was great for everything we wanted to do, from utv riding in box canyon to spring training games. The gym was great we used it every day and the pool and hot tubs are very relaxing and clean. I highly recommend this property.

Wonderful stay in close proximity everything you need

Our family loved our stay at the Palms property! The home is very clean and spacious. Plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your own space when winding down for the day. The attached garage was a great bonus! The amenities in the community were excellent. The pool area has two large pools and 2 hot tubs. A great area to enjoy the sunshine. Our kids enjoyed the pool table inside the clubhouse. The home is located near the highway for quick access to several areas in and around Mesa. Highly recommend this property!

Perfect location for Phoenix Trip

We did activities in downtown Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa. Everything was within a 20 minute drive for all kid type activities. It has plenty of grocery stores and restaurants near by.

Peaceful getaway

Everything was clean and comfortable! The place is lovely … with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a small family or group. The pools, hot tubs and gym in the common area are awesome. The central location is excellent, and very near the highway on-ramp and not too far from the airport. We were able to easily drive to Mesa, Phoenix, Tempe, Glendale and Scottsdale. A little explanation on the TVs and HVAC would have been helpful but we figured it out. Netflix is available and included. We’d highly recommend this place!

Mesa quick trip.

This was our first time using a vacation rental. The rental was clean and furniture/appliances were nice. The community it was located in was quiet and the neighbors were all polite and friendly. The pools and club house were a nice feature. One of the pools was heated but due to cold weather and a busy schedule we did not get to utilize them. The house was close enough to the highway, restaurants and grocery stores which was VERY convenient for us. Overall this was a great experience, so much that we will probably not use hotels for our next trip. Thank you.
