Gorgeous home and location

Although the check in process was frustrating, waiting for a text with access code, 15 minutes before check in time, we fell in love when opening the door! Beautiful kitchen, spacious for a large group. Privacy in the bedrooms for each guest. Grandchildren loved the bunk room, although we had to make bumpers out of pillows. Added to the great adventure! Bathrooms had plenty of storage space. Kitchen was well appointed with necessary utensils and serving dishes, etc. Walk to beach was easy, although there are many stairs on this section of the beach. Luckily all were able to handle it, young and older. We over pack so it was a challenge getting items to the beach, but worth it for the warm sunny days hanging out at low tide, and getting to swim at high tide. It's truly a wonderful place for multiple generations to stay for the week.

Great Location

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great, the bunk beds are definitely for kids, maybe teenagers, there's ca/c throughout except in the 1st floor bedroom so the description is misleading. We've rented at the Cape (Eastham/Truro/Wellfleet) for almost 25 years and this is the first time we had to bring or rent our linens which is ridiculous when you consider the cost of the rental. Interesting that we had to be out by 930am even though the cleaning folks didn't need to change sheets and do laundry nor do they need to do dishes because that's the renter's responsibility. Be mindful that during high tide the water comes up to the stairs to the beach you can't use the stairs to the each that are closest to the house. You have to walk down the street to a different set of stairs that are maintained by the Association. I would've given it 5 stars if these things were called out in the description so it's more of a statement towards the people that are advertising the house than the house itself. The kitchen cabinets were a little worn and the kitchen utensils needed to be washed before we used them.

Lovely, but not clean.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This home is undoubtedly beautiful. The layout is terrific, the proximity to the beach is ideal (though the stairs down to the beach are steep and long), the neighborhood is lovely. The garden and landscape are quite nice. The bedrooms are spacious, though the mattresses leave a lot to be desired. Beware, linens are NOT included. No sheets, no towels. Those are rented separately. The main floor of the house is great... lots of room. The downstairs bonus room is terrific – giant tv and large sofa for family movie nights. The garage had lots of beach chairs, bikes, beach/yard games.Having said all of that, overall, the house is tired. The most disappointing aspect of this rental was how dirty it was. Nothing had been deep cleaned in what appears to be years. The cabinet knobs were all sticky. The counters were perpetually stained and dirty (they need a professional treatment). There were lots of shelves with thick layers of dust. The banquette had years’ worth of food and junk behind it. Much of the upholstery is terribly dirty - stained in a way that made you think twice about sitting down on it.At the price point of this house, we had an expectation of a better maintained property.
