We stayed 7 nights in early June of 2018. We were looking for a place with a beach cottage feel and we were not disappointed. The cottage was clean, well decorated, and the kitchen is well stocked with all the appliances, pots & pans, utensils, plates, silverware, etc. that you would need. That includes, Kuerig coffee maker, a griddle, waffle maker and a lobster pot. (We heated water for our lobster inside, and then brought the pot outside to the gas grill and cooked them out there.)
Greg, the owner, had everything we needed to know very well mapped out and provided us with plenty of info. for shopping, restaurants and other local activities. He was very friendly and professional in every aspect of our stay.
There were a few cons to the cottage: The mattress in the master has a sag in the middle, causing my wife and I to both roll toward the center of the bed; it wasn't the worst for sleeping. Upstairs, one of the mattresses was not comfortable for my daughter (twin bed closest to middle of upstairs). Both cases, not a deal breaker by any means. Another con is the size of the bathroom; it's just small! They made good use of the space they had to work with, it just gets tight. The shower is plenty roomy, and the bathroom itself is updated and clean.
The cons noted would not keep us from returning to this cottage again. There was so much to like about our stay that those issues were easily overcome. As I try to find the words to help others get a feel for this place, I think it comes down to everything was clean and pleasant, had a nice view of Buzzards Bay that we spent hours staring at from either the living room window or from the back yard (outdoor table, chairs & umbrella!) The beach is easily accessed with a short walk down the road. Beach is fairly rocky, but you can find sandy areas if you look around at low tide.
It wouldn't let me do half stars; otherwise I would have given it a 4 1/2 rating!
