Perfection by the water!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful waterfront cabin in Ellijay! The setting was absolutely serene (DEER EVERYWHERE!), with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere that made it perfect for our group of 6. We were in town for a wedding, and this cabin truly felt like a home away from home. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully stocked, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. We loved spending time on the deck, listening to the soothing sounds of the water, and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a picturesque location!

WonDEERful River Cabin

An absolutely lovely cabin with the perfect decor, fully stocked kitchen with cooking essentials, cozy fireplace, three levels of decking, hot tub, pool table, card table, and foosball. Situated on the river, quiet neighborhood. Just my husband and I, but the bedrooms and baths on all three floors (including a nice tv room on lower floor) provides lots of privacy for many. Deer everywhere! Only other comment: The cabin is located some distance back into the neighborhood so must plan travel time in and out. Roads are steep. We loved getting out early and back in to enjoy the cabin so as to miss driving in the dark.

Loved it!

Kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, mixing bowls, spices. There is both a single serve coffee maker as well as a pot coffee maker under the cabinets. We used the griddle provided versus the grill as only one burner on the grill would light. Lots of outdoor seating to watch all the deer which came at least once a day. Every bathroom came with hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Loved the river access and view. The resort has great amenities but be aware that it’s about a 15 min drive from cabin to amenities. Roads to the cabin are hilly and curvy so take it slow and watch for deer in the roads. This is our second time to stay in this resort. We loved the cabin and would recommend.

Great house, great company.

The house was spotless when we checked in. Well equipped kitchen. Large bathrooms. Everything worked (TV’s, Wi-Fi, Appliances, air conditioning). Good washer/dryer. No complaints!

Riverfront Cabin w/ Wraparound Decks & Fire Pit!

My family stayed at this cabin for Christmas overall it was delightful. The cozy atmosphere added warmth to our holiday experience. My only suggestion would be for the host to communicate in advance about the cabin being decorated for Christmas, as we had already purchased our own festive items. Nonetheless, it was a lovely and enjoyable stay.

LOCATION, CLEANLINESS, FULLY STOCKED & COMFY

Every bit about Evolve was professional and courteous, from the initial welcoming letter to the local liaison Amber who was available and responded 24/7. Beds were very clean and comfortable, Baths clean and stocked with papers, BodyWash, Shampoo and Conditioner. Kitchen was turnkey for 20 people, with even spices and a few condiments. Comfy chairs, sofas, lots of game tables would have been used in bad weather, but we were blessed with wonderful weather allowing us to make good use of the fire pit by the stream and casting a line or 2. Avoid GPS, as it will take you the long way. Instead, use the Gatehouse by the Amer. Legion, it's half the way. For the future, a home-charger for EVs would make this property perfect.

Girls Getaway :)

A group of us needed to getaway and relax for a weekend. We had a wonDEERful time at the cabin. We all got a chance to relax, feed the deer (The will eat right out of your hands), enjoy the hot tub, and watched the river flow by. We had a couple of hiccups during our weekend but Evolve, and the Owner were amazing at getting it all sorted out. Make a note as you will need to supply your fire wood, and grab some extra corn for the deer. We look forward to coming back.

Disappointing Cabin

In the last 50 years, I have rented at least 50 properties, domestic and some international for holidays and vacations. This last one was the worst rental experience for me and my family. The rugs and floors were filthy with not only dog hair, but also crumbs. We vacuumed them ourselves. I understand that dogs stay there, but a simple quick vacuum would have made a world of difference. The couches were dirty and were absolutely filthy underneath them. The downstairs area was just as gross and I even found someones vape down there. The TV did not even work properly downstairs either. I found dead bugs throughout the cabin. The sheets were very itchy as well. They did not care to mention that the children's room was in what you might consider a boiler room and was extremely noisy throughout the day. The pool table only had one cue stick, the others were all broken. The kitchen was not properly equipped with the necessary items used to cook for a cabin that is supposed to sleep 8 people. It did have frying pans but they were way too small for a family of 8. There was no liquid soap in some of the soap dispensers. There was also no fire wood and when I asked about it I was given a weird answer. Overall, the cabin would be nice if it was not so dirty and had the proper cookware.

The WonDEERful Cabin

Upon arrival there were several garbage cans and bags of trash stacked beside the entry porch. One of the doors leading out the back of the cabin had dog poop on the door mat. There was layers of dirt on the floor due to the lack of mopping. The counter tops were not clean. The towels and wash clothes had been left in the dryer for the renters to fold and put away after realizing this after a couple of days stay.

All encompassing

This property was located on the river directly. It had a beautiful outdoor fire pit next to the river. Depending on the time of year you visit you can bring tubes and float along in the water. We have teenagers but also a toddler and the home was well stocked for everyone. The cable is and wifi signal are very poor but our goal was to get less connected to the hustle of the world and just kick back and relax. The grill is propane and we were able to cook at the cabin everyday with newer appliances as well. There is a coffee pot and Keurig both for your liking. The deer were everywhere and they also have a deer feeder on property - just grab a bag of deer corn and the local store and you’ll have great memories. The downstairs living room area was perfect for the teenagers and my husband and I could watch tv upstairs. The cabin has an upstairs game room but there’s too many large games and it’s hard to use them in the space given. Although it’s cool to have them, it’s not cool if you can’t use them effectively to enjoy. We ended up not being able to use the pool table at all. The cleanliness was unfortunate. The hand soap after coming out of a pandemic should be supplied though. They had the right idea but mixed so many different soaps into a hand wash bottle and added water and it was not good to use even. We moved some of the artifacts on the kitchen counter to get to plugs and there were linings of dust and crumbs everywhere. Everyone’s paying a cleaning fee so this isn’t ok in my opinion if we’re paying to have it cleaned to a minimum standard at least. We ended up vacuuming ourselves and cleaning the kitchen good enough to use without feeling a bit grossed out. We left it better than we got it. I’ve stayed in this resort area several times a year for the last 14 years and the area is perfect. The resort also has a clubhouse with an indoor gaming room, tennis courts, pool, showers and lockers, and a couple playgrounds too. It is gated with security as well. There are many restaurants both chains and local close outside the resort. Same goes for grocery stores and such as well. We didn’t need to use these things but the cabin had things in hand for babies as well to help their guests out. We saw a high chair, pack n play, and baby toys even. Overall it’s well stocked and is a great location. We will stay at this one again.

Amazingly peaceful

This cabin provides the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the outside world and have your own private sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of life. We enjoyed getting up early to have our coffee down by the river with an occasional early morning fire. With temps in the low 40s each morning - it was glorious!! The younger adults were annoyed by the spotty internet connection so if you intend on doing any work on your computer this is not the place for you. We had to go to town in order to get a connection to pay some bills while on vacation - which we did not mind at all. Overall, would come back in a heartbeat!

Great new rental!

This cabin is perfect! It sleeps 8 very comfortably and the river is spectacular! Be prepared to see COUNTLESS Deer. It was one of the neatest parts of our stay. The cabin was immaculate beautifully decorated. Two words of caution…. The rental goes through Evolve. They do not communicate with you until 72 hours within the rental date. Even if you have questions. Then they communicate fine. Second, while there are plenty of beds, the seating of dining inside and out is not ideal. Inside you can seat 7 between table and barstools. Outside you can seat 4. Leaving you unable to all gather around a table to eat. The chairs outside also weigh a ton and it’s difficult for even a skinny person to pass by with no one sitting at the table.

Great Cabin poorly managed

Our short July 4th getaway was great other than a few things. The property itself is great. It's right on the river and the photo wall downstairs was a nice surprise, the kids loved it. We really loved all the extras for our fur baby. They had a doggy bowl and bed ready and waiting. We had minor issues that could have been avoided if the property manager was responsive. The people managing the property know nothing about the property or the area. We started off great with being able to check in early and that was where it ended. Texts to the property manager went ignored. The grills ignitor was broken my husband turned into MacGyver to get it to work. Cleaning crew left hair and dust everywhere. We were given 1 dirty used sponge without any dish soap. The TV in the mast bedroom didn't work. Wifi was very slow it wasn't strong enough to handle the added phones with our group of 6. The TV kept refreshing constantly. I was finally able to reach someone the night before we left about the issues who passed it along to the owner. The owner did contact me which was nice. If you stay in the cabin which is great here are a few things you should know... Once at the gate it's about 15 minutes to the house through very narrow winding roads. Deers are everywhere so watch out. Some you can even hand feed. You can tube down to the house. Put in at the river side pool and it's about an 1 an half depending on how fast it's moving. Bring water shoes it's a must!! Buy your own tubes at Walmart much cheaper than paying someone. Be aware of your surroundings we were able to see lots of wildlife even ones we didn't want to see. We encountered 3 water moccasins very close to the where you walk into the water. Also the stairs into the water have collapsed they are still usable just be careful. Other than all the issues with management it was a great rental. I would definitely stay again once they figure things out.

Great, relaxing cabin!

We had an awesome trip to this cabin. It was the perfect, relaxing trip we needed. Drove 7 hours to this gem with our daughter and puppy and it was absolutely worth it. Home was spotless upon arrival and it is located right in front of a river which was beautiful. The pool and foosball table was a great addition that we enjoyed doing as well.
