Space:
As you enter through the picket gate, underneath the vine-covered arbour, you will instantly be mesmerised by the charm and beauty of this 20th century, heritage cottage. There are two steps that lead onto the front porch where you will find yourself surrounded by beautiful gardens and original features and structures. Take a seat on the lovely seating, where you can sit and admire the amazing views of the city for hours on end. The front door showcases a stunning, stained glass door that ties into the house beautifully.
As you step inside to the hallway, you will be greeted by high ceilings, and gorgeous décor. The home retains much of its original charm, whilst sympathetically integrating modern features, amenities and contemporary designs within, ensuring that you have everything you require for a comfortable stay.
Turn left, and make your way into the queen bedroom. This space is simply stunning, and filled with beautiful designs and lovely furnishings. The space includes two built-in wardrobes, providing ample storage space for you to store your belongings, additional heating and cooling options, and a comfortable queen-sized bed with crisp clean linen provided to ensure that you receive a perfect nights rest. A stand out in this room, is the now decorative fireplace adding a heritage charm.
On the opposite side of the hallway lies the king bedroom. This room features all of those aspects mentioned in the previous room, with the additions of a spacious king-sized bed, and a cosy one-seater lounge to sit on, and enjoy a good book. There is also an antique style mirror situated above the fireplace for your convenience.
Continue through the hallway, where you will reach the gorgeous, open lounge-dining area. Feast your eyes on the stunning, neutral colour pallet and lovely finishing touches that are featured throughout the space. The lounge room couldn't be more inviting, with comfortable linen couches that you could sink into for hours, a smart TV to watch all of your favourite shows, and stunning local artwork and reading material to dive into. The dining area is seamlessly integrated into this space, providing a lovely 4-seater dining suite, perfect for a home cooked meal.
Stunning French doors open up into the space into the beautiful backyard garden, allowing the fresh
Tasmanian air to flow into through the home in the warmer months. The backyard is fully secured, with a high side gate that is latched at the top, ensuring that you are kept safe and sound. The timber patio features outdoor seating, and a Weber BBQ providing you with all of the necessities for a nice, afternoon BBQ. Step up on to the grassed area where you can admire the greenery and birdlife from a closer perspective. The backyard is also accessed through the glass door that leads into the bathroom.
The kitchen is located off the dining room, which is fully appointed, with many modern appliances and features included to cater to all your cooking needs! The home thoughtfully supplies tea, sugar and instant coffee to enjoy throughout your stay. The Nespresso pod machine allows for that extra kick-start to the day, if you so choose to use this.
Continue through to the bathroom, which features a stunning claw foot bath for you to soak in after a long day of travelling, a spacious shower, and a European design laundry which includes a washing machine and dryer for your use. This space is delightful, with ample storage space for all your personal belongings, lovely decor, and beautiful stained glass windows that let light pour through into the room.

The Neighborhood:
Launceston is a beautiful city blending both city and country charms, with heritage streetscapes, a slice of urban wilderness and gourmet food and drink available at every turn. We aren’t just biassed, many agree, with Launceston named Australia’s best town to visit in 2022!
Nestled amongst these iconic buildings, you will find many delicious cafés and restaurants, an array of shops and boutiques, a vast range of cocktail bars and pubs and many amenities and recreational spaces.
Launceston has many things to see and do including the vibrant Harvest Market every Saturday morning, the Princess Theatre, hosting local, interstate, and international performances, the Star Theatre for a cosy, cinematic experience, and many pubs and venues that host amazing live, musical talents.
Often referred to as the 'Lygon’ Street of Launceston, you will find some of Launceston’s most popular eateries and amenities on the illustrious Charles Street. George St is also known as ‘Eat Street’ with a range of restaurants, bars, gin houses and cafes to cater for most tastes.
The Cataract Gorge is a spectacular natural formation where you can enjoy long and short walks, fresh water swimming basins, the world's longest single-span chairlift and vibrant peacocks! An additional, unique way to experience this attraction is via the Tamar Cruise vessel, which cruises through the waters that carve between the rocky formations.
The City Park which is known for its beautiful oak tree gardens, playground for the children, a plant-filled conservatory and cheeky snow monkeys. Nearby, you will find Penny Royal World. This attraction provides you and the family with a fabulous day out, with boat rides, rock climbing, rope courses, and more found here. For the adults, Penny Royal also provides a beautiful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wine or coffee.
An additional area to note is the Seaport Precinct. Here you will find some of Launceston’s most beloved restaurants and bars scattered along the edges of the Tamar River. Restaurants to note are Mud Restaurant and Bar, the Levee Food Co. and Spice. Across the bridge you will find the Riverbend Park for all day play entertainment, the Boathouse Café and Silo Hotel.

To get the most out of your stay, to be able to explore all that Launceston and its surrounds have to offer, a car is recommended. Additionally, there are many alternative options listed below:
METRO BUS SERVICE: Metro bus service provides transportation throughout Launceston and its surrounding suburbs each day. To access timetables, routes, and prices, please visit the Metro Tasmania Website.
FREE TIGER BUS: The bus travels around the city. There are bus stops located nearby outside Princes Square Park and the Launceston General Hospital. It is easy to spot – painted with the black and brown stripes of a Tasmanian Tiger! For timetables and routes, please see the Metro Tasmania Website (Free Tiger Bus).
INTERCITY BUS SERVICE: Tasmania has you covered with a variety of intercity bus services to make your city-to-city travels a breeze. If you're in the North West region, which includes Burnie, Wynyard, Devonport, and more take a peek at the 'MerseyLink' bus service website for their timetables. If you're heading to or from Launceston and the southern spots like Hobart, make sure to swing by the 'Kinetic' website. Please note that 'Kinetic' has you covered for some routes to and from Devonport as well.
ELECTRIC SCOOTERS: You will find purple electric scooters scattered around Launceston. To access these, please download the App ‘Beam’. Please wear the helmet provided and be safe!

Please note that there are two steps at the entry, and the street itself is on a very steep slope.
Please note the heritage fireplaces are only for ornamental purposes and no fires are available for use in the home.
There is a reverse cycle heat pump / air conditioning unit as well as individual heaters and fans in each bedroom.
