Helene washout
House has everything needed. Housekeeping apparently hadn’t finished prior to our arrival, dishwasher full, dryer full of bed linens, washer full of wet towels, sofa by the washer stacked up with a pile of dry, unfolded bed linens just in a pile. Haven’t experienced that on arrival at a VRBO before. Rest of the stay was Ok except for Hurricane Helene, had to leave in a hurry, house had lost power, couldn’t run the appliances and had no cell service. The area was hit hard, praying for the residents there.

I wish someone would clean up the over growth of bushes around the house . Outside of that it was a very comfortable stay . Two roads to get there needs lots of work

Waynesville Getaway
Overall this property was nice and as described. The upper unit is nicer in my opinion, but we didn't use the downstairs. It is much cooler downstairs than upstairs due to how the home is built. We loved that we could take our pets. We did have issues with the TVs and internet connection while we were there but my husband was able to get it reset. One of the best things we liked was the huge previous laundry room, which was a great place to put our dog stuff and feed them. We also really liked location as it was about 10-20 minutes to drive to most things but very quiet overall. This is a one lane road to get to this house, but it really was not bad and everyone we passed got over or vice versa. Probably my favorite thing (wish we had known) was this house has A LOT of kitchen items. Blender, coffee maker, tin foil, cutting boards, knives etc. More well equipped than most VRBOs. The only other thing is that the upstairs bedroom gets warm if you close the door. There is a ceiling fan and extra fan, but we really had to turn the air down more in the evenings. Overall great stay and comfortable house. We would stay there again.

85th Birthday For Mom
The house was only just fine. Good value for money spent. Well appointed with all the needed equipment. The road in was really bad until the actual road the house was located. There were some things that should be addressed and an email was sent but as of the writing of this there was no response to acknowledge. Check in was easy. A word of caution, there is a steep set of stairs right inside the doorway. Maneuvering luggage or walkers and or people should be done carefully or close the door to the steps. Overall though it was a good place to sleep after outdoor adventures.

Family vacation
My family loved this property and are already talking about booking it again! The driveway is is a bit rough, if you have 4WD, it's helpful. Our dogs loved the yard and liked to watch the donkey down the way. We had breakfast on the patio every morning looking at the mountains and it was amazing! With a large group, we filled the outdoor garbage can so that could be an issue if you have extended stay. We will definitely book this property again!

Our stay
Our stay was great and very peaceful. The driveway was a little rough but other than that it was amazing. It was not a bad ride into Maggie Valley and close to plenty of places to eat.We would like to thank the people for a beautiful place to stay. I would give it 5 stars. Thanks again

Fun Christmas
This was a perfect location for enjoying Christmas with family nearby. Lots of space and fully equipped kitchen for some holiday cooking. The 2 levels worked well as we traveled with our adult daughter. This was our second stay and will likely stay there again.

Cozy home with plenty of space
The home was cozy and in a nice location with plenty of space. We did have issues with the cleanliness and safety of the home however. When we arrived, the ozone machine was running so we immediately turned it off as it’s not safe to be in a home with a running ozone machine. The master bedroom window and glass door did not have any blind/curtains so we had to hang blankets up so we would have privacy. The half bath trash had not been changed. The dishwasher was full but had been closed up for quite some time and the clean dishes were sour so we had to rewash them. There were two dirty frying pans in the cabinet that had not been washed. Lastly, both bathrooms ran out of toilet paper by the second day and we could not find any more in the home so we had to go buy some. There was one full roll in the toilet paper stand but it looked like it had been wet prior so it was very nasty and unusable. There was also a strong smell of sewer smell outside. Other than the cleanliness issues, we had an enjoyable stay.

Great mountain stay
This was a great place to stay, plenty of room, nice and cold air, wifi and T.V. worked great, plenty of towels, washer and dryer, and fenced in yard was great. Only thing lacking was toilet paper, only one little roll was left. The mountain view was blocked by ivy, not to big of a deal. The location was near most areas we wanted to visit. The road to the place is a little rough but doable, it added to the privacy of the place. I would recommend this rental!

Exceeded expectations
The place was quaint and private. It’s basically two houses in one with covered parking. The fenced in yard is great for dogs. Accesses is reasonable, made it in the driveway with a big truck and 14 foot trailer. Would definitely like to stay at this house again.

Perfect Home and Layout
This house was the perfect house for the teenagers and us for our stay. We were visiting Lake Junaliska and this place was a wonderful home to stay in for our needs. The bottom floor had a full kitchen and loving room too! The beds were comfy, very clean, and are very accompdating to dogs. I would stay here again when visiting North Carolina.

September stay
Over all we had a great stay. Plenty of room, it was like having two separate homes. House was nice and clean and upstairs kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could imagine and more (nice bonus). The only thing I would change would be getting rid of the outside cameras. It felt like a total invasion of privacy and made us wonder if there were cameras inside the house. Also need a place take the trash outside.

Overall good stay. Beautiful home close to town.
The home was beautiful which provided a great stay for my group. There are only two constructive comments I have. First, the contact that was supposed to send me the check-in information could do a better job. We were there and waiting for our check-in code. Luckily I had service to contact the booking agency. Second, they have guests wash and put away dishes. This is fine for my group, but I do not trust every guest to wash used dishes.

Work in Progress
Starting with the good: Plenty of space, comfortable beds, thankful for having a pack n’ play on site, and always a bonus to find a dog friendly spot in WNC! Donna (cleaning lady and POC) was very responsive! Areas for improvement: First and foremost the entire house had a strong odor from the moment we walked in, upstairs being worse than the down stairs. To me it smelled very much like cigarette smoke. Donna (cleaning lady) stated she does not use tobacco products, nor do the owners who recently stayed there for a week. I was told it could be the cleaning products used or that it’s because it is a ‘dog friendly rental’. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Xbox is located upstairs but the cord you need we found on a tv downstairs. No trash bins that we could find outside…if you were staying for more than a couple days this would definitely be a concern. I would say there is cleanliness issues that could be improved on, ants in the kitchen, marks on the walls (especially going downstairs), hair on the pillows of the couch (dog and human?), stains on the couch, dog hair on most of the blankets. The side porch has a strong dog urine smell, especially on the gate used to block it off from the driveway. Speaking of the driveway, the shared part of it we were told is being fixed the day we left but it seems to have been an ongoing issues based on previous reviews and rightfully so. I would certainly use caution if you drive anything other than a large SUV/truck. It’s got a large drop off on one side full of mud. I say all this because we’ve been traveling with our pups to WNC for years and truly do appreciate dog friendly spots, BUT we’ve always found homes that weren’t so weathered. It’s a new rental on the market, but IMO needs some work to bring it up to speed with others out there!

Loved It!
House was fantastic! Loved the duel level living setup. Both upstairs and downstairs were little houses of their own. Worked great for our family of 5. The fenced in backyard was perfect for our dogs as well as both side decks. When traveling with pets these areas are important features we look for. As other reviews stated, the driveway is a bit rough. But being from the mountains it wasn't something overly difficult. We took our van and even a smaller hatchback car up without any problem. But mostly used our truck as it made the driveway conditions non-existent. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and will be doing so when we visit our home state in the future!!

Do not rent unless you have vehicle that can handle washed out access road.
I rent in Waynesville frequently and enjoyed this dog friendly property. Unfortunately I will not rent again due to the horrible condition of the access road. Hopefully there is no damage to our car. If something does turn up you can be sure you will hear from us!

Clean cabin
Nice, clean cabin with a lot of space. The kitchen was really well appointed which we appreciated. The location was peaceful and the views were great. Our dog enjoyed his walks in the neighborhood. My only suggestion would be to keep the grass in the fenced yard area mowed regularly - the grass was at least a foot high when we arrived. We would stay here again if we're in the area.

Adorable house with amazing porch view
My friend and I went for a quiet, relaxing weekend and I fell in love with this place! It's super cute, very charming, and incredibly comfortable. It's so peaceful at night on one of the three patios, just the sounds of crickets and your conversations. Very relaxing and restful. We did have one inconveniencing issue which we did not get resolved by the local contact as they never responded to any contact I made, however, that was resolved after our stay with the managing company reached out. I would definitely stay again!
