Log Cabin, 6 person hot tub! Over 150 yards of river frontage!
Plan to relax away from it all! The cabin is out where you can see all the stars at night. Don't forget your eggs and bacon as it is a 17 mile trip back to Luray, and 7 miles are gravel road. So just plan to stay and chill or not--in the hot tub!
There is now limited WiFi at the Paddler cabin and very limited at the Drifter that is shared by both cabins for checking emails, light browsing but no streaming videos. Hughesnet is just not doing a good job. Sprint-T-mobile work but other cell phones might not.
The cabin has a queen bed room with a propane stove, the living area has a double bed futon, Direct TV and the mini-kitchen area. The loft has a double bed. We provide pillows and bedspreads but not Linens and Towels which would be extra at $25/bed/visit but we are not renting them during COVID. You will need to bring your own. Pets are $15/pet/night.
Below the cabin is a picnic table, fire ring and charcoal grill. Across the 7.5 acre field is the driveway to the river frontage and boat landing (#20). There is a fire pit there too. Great fishing.
The cabin is on 7.5 acres along with three other cabins which share the river frontage/landing (#20). Shenandoah River Outfitters uses this private boat landing. Plan to reserve canoe, kayak, raft and tubes trip with us, Shenandoah River Outfitters, for lots of river fun between April and Nov 1st.
We have a two-night min stay on weekends, one-night min during the week. (3-nights on holiday weekends) We offer special 4-day mid-week rates and week long rates.
Plan a longer stay and explore Luray, Luray Caverns and the Shenandoah National Park--great hiking. Do some shopping and catch dinner before driving back out to the cabin and the hot tub!
We email you directions to the cabin you reserve along with the lock box code. These cabins are on Page Valley Rd, which is north of South Page Valley Rd.. Safe travels and hope to see you soon....

We enjoyed our stay at the cabins during Christmas. It was quiet and calm. The river was close by and the hot tub was a great addition. We only left to visit the caverns and it was approximately a 35 min. drive. The email we received with door lock codes were inaccurate but we called the office, and was texted the codes. The cleaning could be better as it was very dusty. Other than that, I recommend the cabins and would return.
Place & location was perfect for a weekend getaway. My husband & 4 kids enjoyed connecting with nature & each other. Cabin was well equipped. Fire pit, grill, sauna and walk to the river made it a relatively relaxing experience. Surprisingly we were able to use our phones without any problems, At&t and Verizon.Only complaint was that trying to watch TV at the end of our long day was a challenge, not user friendly. Otherwise enjoyed our stay.
Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at the Drifter Cabin. We spent one day kayaking on the river with Shenandoah River Outfitters. The staff there were great! We spent the other day swimming and tubing on the river right by the cabin. It is a short 3 minute walk to the river. The water was the perfect wading depth for our two tweens who happily walked/swam their tubes upstream to the closest "rapids" and rode the circuit repeatedly.
The cabin was as described. The loft area was really hot and took the first day/night to cool off. The evenings were surprisingly cool during our stay but the windows don't have screens so we utilized the AC which worked well. If you are a sensitive sleeper, you may want to bring ear plugs, the AC turns on and sounds like a jet plane. The hot tub was glorious and a fun way to end the evenings. The cabin is about a 20-30 minute drive from amenities so plan accordingly for gas, food, etc.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this cabin to others!
My wife loved the stay. We were fortunate enough to stay the weekend of the Northern Lights from the jacuzzi. STRONGLY suggest guest screenshot lock code. NO Phone signal just before paved road ends. Would be nice to have wifi code in checkin information. Just suggestion. Couple in next cabin arrived relying on app as well to get keybox code. Used our wifi to access app. We will be back. LOVED IT!
Overall great experience. Only thing I would say is a neighbor was processing wood or something until about 9:45pm one night which destroyed the peace and quiet. Other than that it was as described and would go back!
It was a great location. Big fields, nice fire pit, beautiful hot tub, cozy inside. Very clean, and well kept property. Perfect stay for Shenadoah National Park or Luray Caverns
The cabin was well taken care of though a bit difficult to find. We were delayed in reaching the neighborhood and we only arrived in the dark of the winter night. The drive through the woods was daunting, we may have hit a opossum and the signs can be quite hard to read due to the lack of light and the twists and turns of the roadway.
The property was clean, beautiful, loved the proximity to the river & the approach was adventurous in itself. I absolutely loved my stay there. I did not like the proximity to the other cabins being so close by but it was listed on the website so I expected it. The firepit, the hot tub etc were great amenities especially during winter. Beautiful location and good access to restaurants within a 1/2 hour drive. Night drive was a bit tough but being in the wild made it that much more adventurous!
Had some difficulty getting through using WiFi password. It did not work at all. Thankfully one of has a Tmobil cell phone or we would be completely off the grid for the duration of the stay. Also the Kitchen tap water pressure was extremely low. I could not even wash a cup.
Shenandoah River Outfitters rents this cabin along the Shenandoah River. We have 10 cabins along the river. We have been renting canoes, kayaks, rafts and tubes since 1970! We added cabins in 1995 so folks could stay over after a day on the river.
Why they chose this property
We love the Blue Ridge mountains with the GW National Forest surrounding us on the Massanutten mountain (the view you see from the hot tub) with hiking trails, hunting, bird watching, etc. and then there is the Shenandoah River just down the field from the cabin....
What makes this property unique
The mountains, the Shenandoah Valley, Page county, Luray, the Shenandoah River--you can't ask for much more.... but there is! Shenandoah National Park and Luray Caverns! plus the charm of small town life in Luray.
