Quebec Old City

The property was all in walking distance of Old Town and Plains of Abraham. The unit was very clean and comfortable. I would suggest that the windows and slider by balacony be washed once in a while as the outside was pretty dirty this is a monor suggestion . If you drive paking good but if you got a truck could be minor issue. We enjoyed our stay and felt all was as mentioned.

Mostly good, but some things to be aware of

The condo is neat and clean and attractive. It is conveniently located near to the La Roch district and the historic old town. The parking provided with the condo is only good for vehicles under 6’ high. If you have a truck or big SUV, then you have to pay to park in a different lot. The condo has a few things we thought could have been improved. The couch is very uncomfortable, there are towels but no wash cloths, there is soap and shampoo but no conditioner, the pool is pretty but warm like a hot tub so not super-refreshing. Also, if you have a question, when you call the number, an answering service forwards your question on to the owner who then calls back, so you have to wait for an answer. It was about 20-30 minutes the two times we called. None of these things are major but are perhaps worth knowing ahead of time. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Great condo

The condo itself is awesome—clean, walking distance to the historic downtown area, very comfortable beds. It had everything we needed for some light cooking. We felt the price was great too. The only thing to note is that there is a homeless shelter immediately behind the parkade, and you have to walk through a back alley to get to the condo from the parkade. There is no direct access. It’s a bit sketchy at night. We never saw anything threatening, but just something to be aware of as everyone’s comfort level is different (especially when returning at night). We wish we knew: you need to scan the parking pass on the way IN, or you will be charged for parking. We thought we could park in the parkade to unload, then use the pass to exit for free, but that’s not the case. Scan the pass on your way back to your car if you do this! The outdoor pool is wonderful on hot days—only about a meter deep, soft lining, perfect temperature. Would be great for kids. There is a BBQ and fire table area by the pool too. The Murphy bed in the living room is just as comfortable as the bed in the bedroom. All in all, we would definitely stay again!

Spotless Apartment Close to Old Town

This apartment is extremely clean with modern and comfortable furnishings. The kitchen had the bare minimum of kitchenware, but what was there was very clean, modern, and functional. Communication on check-in procedures could have been better, but when we needed help with the digital lock they quickly called us back to help. The location of the apartment is not optimal. While it is close to Old Town (less than 15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by Uber), and there are some modern and trendy stores and restaurants one street away, we were always a bit cautious when we walked to and from the apartment and in the local vicinity. Behind the parking garage which is behind the apartment is a homeless shelter / soup kitchen, and so there is always a contingent of homeless wandering about the local streets, sleeping in doorways, yelling at each other, etc. We never felt any danger, but we were always very aware of our surroundings. In all we loved our stay and would consider staying again since the cost was very good, the apartment was very comfortable, and the neighborhood was not so bad that I would stay away next time.

The apartment itself was excellent. The bed and sofa bed were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked with utensils, dishes and Tupperware (handy for packing snacks for walking about). The washer and dryer were nice to have. The building was still apparently having finishing touches put on, but nice and clean. The roof top patio had nice views. In the surrounding area...a block over to the north was a street that turned into a lively pedestrian street at night (when we were there anyway). There was a metro across the road for groceries. There is some sort of homeless shelter a block south. Its clientele spill out to the streets, but there wasn't any agressiveness or unpleasantness. It's roughly a 15 minute to get to areas of the old town, so well located. Only area for improvement might be communication. Apart from the arrival instructions there was no information or contact. When we went to leave we were unsure about the expectations about the state of the room. We started the dishwasher and took out the trash but were unsure whether that was too much or too little.
