Great location and facilities
Elm Cottage is in a great location, walking distance to the lake, the local shops and a short 4 minute drive to the beach. It has a lovely layout, generous kitchen and great outdoor area and games room. The house was clean especially the bathrooms and kitchen. However, the floors needed a good mop, so I don’t recommend you go barefoot as you’ll end up with black feet! I am not sure the cleaners do a proper clean between guests as there was a vape left under one of the beds which we decided to leave there and not touch and a small stain on one set of sheets that could do with some bleach. The main bathroom was good and the towels were lovely and fluffy! Facilities were great and we used the washing machine so we came home with some clean clothes (bring your own wash powder as none was provided). We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor dining area and the gardens are nicely maintained. Despite those minor issues, I would thoroughly recommend Elm Cottage for a great stay.
