Relaxing, restful stay!

A very comfortable stay with lots of space for everyone- very clean and tidy. Kitchen was well equipped with everything that was needed, so we didn’t have to worry about anything. Beautiful gardens, refreshing air, excellent view of the lake to enjoy from the outside deck.

Beautiful scenery and close to many great trails and parks

This cottage was as described. 4 spacious bedrooms with lots of room. Beach is rocky so bring water shoes. There is a great spot that I found at the end of Julian Rd that has a flat rock beach that’s tons of fun! Caves, parks and trails are all within a 20-30 minute drive. Tobermory is super close as well. Great property. Very happy we chose this place.

Wonderful house right on the lake

Wonderful house right on the lake. Here you can enjoy nature! All amenities are available in the house. The living room is very nice with a very high ceiling. My children loved that there were lots of toys. The older ones liked the pool table. The location of the house is also good. Many beaches and trails are easy to reach by car.

Idyllic Bruce Pennisula base

This home was the perfect base for our family of 8 (6 children ranging in age from 2-17) to explore Bruce Pennisula. We enjoyed the peaceful, calm waters at the property as well as the shore and waves at the end of Julian Dr. We hiked Lions Head and within the Bruce National Park, and took a boat tour out of Tobermory, all easy drives from the house. There were plenty of beds for everyone. The littles enjoyed the toy selection. I was happy to have brought ample snacks, meals, and drinks so we didn’t have to interrupt the fun to find a store. Being rural was part of the appeal! Thank you for a memorable family vacation!!

Relaxing getaway

The home was beautiful with plenty of space for 5 -person family. Home is very open with large windows for plenty of natural light. Pool table on the lower level was enjoyed by all of us. Also lots of movies to choose from on the hard-drive connected to the TV. Lovely view from the deck and a small private lakedront, although very rocky so probably wouldn't be ideal for toddlers. Not a criticism but home is located at least 30mins from any tourist attractions (e.g. Lions Head or Sauble beach) but as long as you're aware of that you'll have a great time here. Mosquitoes were a nuisance at the front of the house but they didn't bother us on the deck. Fortunately, Canadian mosquitoes are larger/slower than mosquitoes in the southern U.S. where we're from so easier to shoo away/escape from before they bite you. Communication with owner before/during stay was excellent. Recommendations for owner: would have been good to have bath mats; A few more mugs and drinking glasses; we were disappointed that the board games mentioned in the description were not there so it would be a good idea to either add some board games back or removed that from the description.
