About this property

1890's Farmhouse in Wilderness (*With STARLINK and X Country Ski Trails!*)

North of Muskoka, south of Nippising and French River is a gorgeous part of the country, and in that slice of wilderness is an 1820s log farmhouse! The house is charming! It has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 7. It has a large kitchen, a separate dining area, a living room, screened in porch and a full bathroom.
The home has many vegetable gardens! You can sample then at various schedules through the summer and fall when they are ready to eat.
There is a frog pond at the back for kids to enjoy! On the porch you can hear the wolves howling at night!
The property has 82 acres which have walking trails and you can also go snowshoeing and cross country skiing during the winter! We are just figuring out some cross country skiing trails (this winter - 2022/2023).

There are many lakes and rivers around to discover, wildlife of all kinds (moose, deer, bear, turkeys etc), and a couple of small un-touristy towns.

There are 2 swimming spots nearby- the Port Shores has a coffee shop/ restaurant and a beach - that's a good one- and Jacks Lake has public access too. Google these and you'll have no trouble finding them.

Come and enjoy something completely unique!

family visit
we had a great family get together at the farmhouse. my kids 6 and 10 had so much fun catching frogs and finding all the garden snakes! Tessa was amazing and so quick answering any questions or concerns we had leading up to our visit and during our stay. The house had everything we needed and more! Would definitely return!

What a magical place!
We needed a spot to edit a film for 3 weeks, and Tessa's farm was perfect. So cozy and just isolated enough. Lots of dog walks and some great meals - cooked with the modern appliances. Amazing.

Unique and beautiful getaway
What an amazing cottage!! Where to begin?? The inside of the cottage is decorated with the coolest antiques in prime condition. But don’t let that fool you - this aesthetically rustic house is extremely well-stocked, reliable, and very practical to live in. It has everything you need with a fully equipped kitchen (and more). We were there during such a cold time and we were so cozy and warm. The property itself is absolutely magical. We spent hours walking through the woods that we had all to ourselves. It was truly a winter wonderland. Lastly, Tessa was extremely communicative and sweet, making sure to always respond quickly whenever we had questions and going above and beyond to make sure our stay was seamless. This place is an absolute gem. We are already planning our next trip back!
