We had a great stay at the Farmhouse. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. It is a beautiful country setting and very quiet. Be aware there is are no TV's which we weren't bothered about but others might like to know. We would definitely stay here again.
My wife, nephew and I are golfers, so we look for vacation rentals that are close to the courses that we want to play. A short drive is not an issue, so this time, we were close to Cobble Beach and Collingwood.
Our primary focus is that we find a place that is not in the heart of a town or city, allowing us a taste of the countryside and this house met our criteria. There was also ample space to store our clubs, if we were not playing Golf .The appeal of this location is that we had no neighbors and every morning, I tried to decipher which birds were singing outside our windows. We enjoyed going to Kettles Back home cooking a few times as the meals are tasty and plentiful. From this location, we even planned a boat tour in Tobermory. If we do plan to play Golf in this area again, I would not hesitate to book this location.
Came for a family reunion near Owen Sound. Location was close to town for shopping/groceries. Lots of space with all the bedrooms, two living areas for lounging and to keep children occupied. Outdoor area had fire pit (limited firewood available - also need to bring a hatchet/axe) and garden area which was nice to sit and relax. Having laundry and full kitchen made our stay comfortable and convenient.
Only other improvement would be having proper blinds on windows in bedrooms, for darker room when sun starts to rise early and help keep rooms cooler. Would still recommend to any groups or families travelling in area!
We had a family emergency in the Owensound area and required a place to stay. The farmhouse was the absolute best place for our family to gather together. Mark was extremely helpful, communicative, and flexible. The farmhouse itself is newly updated, clean and peaceful. The property is private, and we loved sitting by the fire outside. There are birds and butterflies all around and it feels so relaxing. We loved every second of our stay.
My parents did wish there was a television but we made do with excellent wifi. Thank you for everything.
We visited this property for a winter family get-together and it fit the bill nicely Our host was pleasant, responsive and helpful.
The only hiccup was that the listing indicated there was a hot tub at the time we booked. There is not. We informed the host and he indicated that we were the first guests to mention this and he would contact VRBO to have it corrected.
We embarked on this trip last minute as a way to have a big get together with family and friends to ring in the new year. We were so impressed with the home, it’s absolutely beautiful and so spacious. It looks much better and bigger in person with so much room for activities. Mark was such a great host and quick to reply with any questions we had. We loved the home and our trip! P.S there is not TV and we saw the people mentioned that in the guestbook at the home but honestly it’s much better without it and it allows you to connect with family and friends. Cheers Mark thanks for everything.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Chatsworth property. The pictures accurately represent the venue - it was beautiful, clean and well-kept.
We had 6 adults and 5 kids staying and we had plenty of room for everyone. The pull-out couch is in a separate den area rather than in the living room, as the listing suggested, which actually worked out much better for sleeping arrangements.
The property had a ton of space for everyone to run around and enjoy. The fire pit was one of the nicest we've ever seen, and we've been camping for many, many years!
The stove is an induction stove so that took us a bit of time to get used to. There are two ovens which is great for larger groups, but only one sheet pan so we had to improvise.
We drove 30 minutes to Port Elgin to enjoy a beach day and it was a quick, easy trip there and back.
All in all one of the best places we've ever stayed at and would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway with friends or family.
Great family spot, Very peaceful.
Just enough slope in the fields to get the children some slow paced tobogganing, plus we happened to have just the right amount of snow.
I enjoyed the spot. Peaceful farmhouse. Lots of property. Great outdoor fire pit. The kitchen was extremely modern! I like it so much I’ve decided to cohost !
