About this property

Bigfoot Cabin - Vintage Cabin Charm by Yosemite Region Resorts

"Bigfoot Cabin", located just 25 minutes from Yosemite National Park, is a classic, vintage cabin.  Built in 1976 and featuring old school charm with modern amenities it is sure to become your families favorite Yosemite spot.  The property features three levels and three bedrooms (Q, Q+T, Q+2T) plus a bonus room(2T) and many other amenities including wifi.  But our favorite feature has to be the great outdoor deck with lovely outdoor seating and amazing views!  There is also a gas bbq so the grill master in the family can whip up a great dinner after a day of exploring.

Please note that the amazing view is possible in part because of the steep driveway and approximately 20 steps from the driveway to the front entrance.  There is driveway parking for 5 vehicles but SUV type vehicles are recommended.

Please note the following house rules for your stay:

1. The maximum occupancy is firm and must include all occupants of any age including

infants. In addition no large gatherings are permitted. The maximum occupancy

number includes children & infants.

2. The age restriction is firm - if you have booked this property and are under the age of 25

please cancel immediately. A copy of your driver's license may be required to confirm

occupant age.

ASSOCIATION: Pine Mountain Lake HOA currently charges $46 per vehicle (one time

fee) to enter the gated community with 24 hour security. The entire fee goes to PML

HOA. Please note this price is subject to change without notice. Access permits are

non-refundable. A stay of 8+ nights will require additional fees as per PMLA.

Pine Mountain Lake, per Pine Mountain Lake Association rules. However, Lake Don

Pedro is just 20-minutes away & perfect for a day trip with water toys! And remember,

you can rent sailboat / kayak / paddle board / paddle boat rentals at the main Marina

Beach in Pine Mountain Lake.

5. In addition to the marina offerings Pine Mountain Lake offers an Airport, 18-hole

championship golf course, country club with indoor & outdoor dining, tennis courts,

community pool, horseshoe pits, equestrian center, and three sandy beaches on the

lake. The Marina Beach is the largest most popular beach and offers: an expansive

sandy beach & lawn area, designated swimming area, BBQ pits, picnic benches, snack

shack, and the sailboat / kayak / paddle board / paddle boat rentals. Beaches are open

during the summer months only. Golf course is open year-round.

6. Past guests have loved the property so much they often want to celebrate special

moments here, but please no confetti. Cleanup after celebrations is not included in the

departure cleaning fee. Guests will pay an extra cleaning fee if housekeeping must clean

any celebration debris.

7. Propane for any gas BBQ is not provided. You may either order this on the Temporary

Resident Registration form for an additional fee or provide your own propane. You can

purchase propane tanks at the local market or hardware store. Firewood is also not

provided. The current rate for a propane tank is $65 (subject to change without notice).

Solid place met all our needs!
The house was perfectly suited for our vacation. Location was great, enabling us to enjoy the beaches at Pine Mountain Lake as well as easily drive to Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park. House was quaint and cozy. Big wraparound deck to enjoy breakfast out front and dinner out back with the grill. I was able to get reliable reception (cell+internet) on my phone without using the house wifi. Kitchen was convenient for cooking nightly dinners and the living room had a decent TV for watching movies from their family collection. Had a great time!

We have to leave earlier due to air-conditioner is broken
We were excited about the upcoming get-away trip, but one day before the trip I received the email and said the air-conditioner is not working, and said it wouldn't be too hot during day, but the owner was wrong. It was too hot to stay inside the house during the day, plus the internet didn't work, and my husband who planned to work at home during the stay had to go back to home to work at night (2.5 hours trip back to home) due to the internet in the cabin didn't work! Though the cabin looks nice, you can imagine how things like if two essential things (air conditioner and internet, plus TV has no cable, no internet connection to prime or fire TV) do not work. We have to leave one day earlier since we cannot tolerate hot room. I don't give 1 star due to the room is nice and spacious, and owner provides all kitchen essentials, shampoo and conditioner, and seems to be considerate. If air-conditioner is fixed, it should have to be a good stay.
