Tucker's Hideaway - Tucked away in the woods, 5 minute drive to Sunday River Ski Resort!

Convenience is the name of the game here at Tucker's Hideaway!

The location is off the Sunday River Road and puts you within 5 minutes of the ski resort, but it's also super close to Sunday River Brew Pub and access along Route 2 for a quick run into Bethel.

Being situated halfway between the town of Bethel and the ski resort allows you to enjoy all that the area has to offer easily. If you spend your days on the slopes and evenings at the bowling alley, movie theater, or community ice rink, this spot makes coming and going a breeze.

Tucker's Hideaway is a private road that promises peace and quiet once you are done with the excitement of your day and are ready to unwind.

The log-sided chalet has a welcoming, woodsy feel with all of the traditional touches that you would expect in a ski house. From the prominent wall of windows in the great room to the pine ceiling and accent walls throughout the house, the charm inside this home can be appreciated in any room. This floorplan makes you feel embraced by the environment as if you are letting nature in.

An open concept layout makes the windows and fireplace the focal point of the main living level. It's natural to gather in front of the fireplace and settle in to watch the snow fall outside. The soaring ceilings and comfy furniture will keep you happy here for hours.

The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to prepare and store food at the house. The island is oriented to face the great room, which makes it possible to carry on a conversation with those who are cooking easily.

On the lower level, a sprawling second living room lends itself to those who want more privacy or some space to play games, watch a movie, or kick back with a book.

Tucker's Hideaway is a well-appointed rental with attention to detail and the aim to please! We're willing to bet that you'll return year after year to this one.

Beautiful home nestled in the forest

The directions to the house were easy. The house is in a beautiful setting nestled in among the trees, which are breathtaking in the fall. The interior is beautifully decorated with very nice furnishings. The kitchen is large, open and well appointed. A great spot to gather and share the cooking. Mark, our host, was most accommodating and made a number of recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area, which turned out to be perfect. I would recommend this house to friends and family without hesitation.

Perfect location!

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot! So easy to run the early skiers over and then come back for a quiet cup of coffee before heading over ourselves— only abt 5 minutes away. We enjoyed walking on the trails just behind/beside the house and LOVED that the teens had the downstairs to themselves. Already looking at next years dates!

Perfect location to ski Sunday River. Less than 5 minutes to the lodges.

The home is beautiful, spacious and warm. The pictures don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed at our fingertips. Very clean and nicely decorated.

Our Sunday River Favorite Home

We will be back to repeat our trip. This was a favorite with our group. Plenty of room for all. The teens had their living space downstairs, the adults upstairs. Less than 10 minutes to the mountain made for such an easy start. Thank you for sharing your home!

Sunday River trip

House was very clean and inviting! Plenty of room for the 8 people in our group. The driveway can be slick in the winter, we would’ve struggled without studded snow tires.

A perfect get away!

My family and I were traveling to Maine for a wedding at Sunday River Resort and this turned out to be the perfect stay! We were just a 10 minute drive from the resort, there was more than enough space to accommodate us all, the property was exactly as described, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The home was absolutely gorgeous, furniture was comfortable, and you really could not beat the location. Close to the main road but far enough back where it was quiet. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great stay!

When we arrived there was an issue with cleanliness. I contacted Chris and discovered that it was a miscommunication between he and the cleaner. Chris had his cleaner there within the hour, bought us dinner for the inconvenience, and it was taken care of by the time we returned. Fantastic owner!!!

AT Hiking Trip

This was an amazing trip for us. The house was clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen had everything we needed for cooking all the meals. Walking down to the brewery/restaurant was nice and convenient. House was close to AT trails, grocery, gas and more.

Great weekend getaway

We had a great time and loved the space! Had everything we needed and kids had a fun time sledding the yard. Would like to return. Had some trouble getting up driveway upon arrival so had to park in lower area, but property manager had it sanded early the next day before we left to ski.

Perfect Ski House

The pictures don't do it justice! We were a group of 3 couples and baby. The house was more than big enough for everyone to have their own space and the open concept layout was great for socializing after a long day of skiing. Would definitely stay their again.

Great ski house for a group

Easy access to Sunday River, kitchen was well stocked for this bunch of foodies, plenty of open space. Bedrooms were nicely appointed with one exception: in the bunk bed room the twin bed has a terrible mattress. And as mentioned by others, the hot water capacity is really limited. We Only took a couple of showers before the hot water is no longer hot. Overall excellent stay though and we would come back!
