The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
So, here it is:
The good: We had great weather for our stay. Every morning, we enjoyed coffee and every afternoon/early evening tea on the deck with its lovely view of the surf rolling in on the beach and the sound of the waves. We also were pleased and surprised to find Neakahanie Beach so conveniently close and lovely. (It would have been nice if that was listed in the amenities for the property.) Also, the location was quite central and convenient to both Seaside and Tillamook.
The bad: The original listing described the property as "secluded." It was not. All of the properties in the development were cheek by jowl. We had houses or cabins on both sides of us and right in front of us across the shared driveway. Nowhere on the original listing on VRBO that I booked through did it say that the property was not suitable for mobility challenged guests, which it wasn't because of the steep and lengthy staircase, and the extremely steep driveway. Suggest you add that to your description. I did not find that it was up to the standards of my usual VRBO rentals. The original listing said the kitchen was well stocked. There was pepper but no salt (we had to buy some), and no soap was provided (we also had to purchase that). I would have liked a heads up that we had to bring basics like that. Also, not up to VRBO standards was the lack of instructions for the property, which hosts usually provide. Some examples: There were no instructions on what TV services were provided (or that
