The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly
So, here it is: The good: We had great weather for our stay. Every morning, we enjoyed coffee and every afternoon/early evening tea on the deck with its lovely view of the surf rolling in on the beach and the sound of the waves. We also were pleased and surprised to find Neakahanie Beach so conveniently close and lovely. (It would have been nice if that was listed in the amenities for the property.) Also, the location was quite central and convenient to both Seaside and Tillamook. The bad: The original listing described the property as "secluded." It was not. All of the properties in the development were cheek by jowl. We had houses or cabins on both sides of us and right in front of us across the shared driveway. Nowhere on the original listing on VRBO that I booked through did it say that the property was not suitable for mobility challenged guests, which it wasn't because of the steep and lengthy staircase, and the extremely steep driveway. Suggest you add that to your description. I did not find that it was up to the standards of my usual VRBO rentals. The original listing said the kitchen was well stocked. There was pepper but no salt (we had to buy some), and no soap was provided (we also had to purchase that). I would have liked a heads up that we had to bring basics like that. Also, not up to VRBO standards was the lack of instructions for the property, which hosts usually provide. Some examples: There were no instructions on what TV services were provided (or that

Spring Break Get Away
Cute little home that met our needs. The driveway is super steep. We suggest a light over the dining table. Other than that, the place was clean, allowed pets, had washer & dryer set up, everything you need in the kitchen. We enjoyed our little get away.

Meh
The house is in a lovely neighbourhood. However, the listing doesn’t reflect the reality. While it was clean, it’s cluttered and there’s a big jumbled mess of blanket stacks thrown in the corner of the principal bedrooms. All bedrooms smell of mildew and/or feet. There are also Christian quotes everywhere which is unnerving when belonging to a different faith. The beach is a solid 15 min steep walk away, so don’t stay here if you have young kids or people with accessibility challenges. All in all, it was fine because we didn’t spend much time at the house during our stay. But we would have spent more time there had it been nicer.

Charming Location, Less Charming Inside
It was okay. Really enjoyed the outdoor space and my boys enjoyed having the upper deck and slept most nights with the slider doors open so they could hear the ocean. As far as the inside of the property it's an almost. Seems like it was outfitted during 1/2 price day at the thrift store. Charming when it comes to mismatched dishes and towels less so when the coffee maker is held together with thoughts and prayers. For the most part the place was clean but the extra blankets where very dusty and musty. Throw pillows on the couches need to be replaced, they smell off and made me feel itchy.

Coastal Hideaway
The property was up on a hill which had great peek-a-boo ocean views from the entire side of the house (balconies across top and bottom floors). The driveway is STEEP and the road is a little rocky which made getting into the driveway extremely difficult (I have a manual transmission and would not recommend for others). Towels, sheets, etc were clean but the beams and higher areas need some dusting. Overall was perfect for our group (two couples and two kids). Close to the beach by quick drive or about 15 min walk (uphill on the way back obviously).

Not what we expected
This house is much smaller than the pictures let on. Patio furniture is very dirty. The driveway is extremely steep and that is the only place to park. Pretty dangerous for kids, there should be a warning about that. It was a decent stay but we wouldn't stay here again.

Oops!
Well, the view of the ocean through the trees out the living room is amazing. There’s no price to put on that. But there were some unfortunate issues that we could not look past…the shower door on the main door was broken and in fact dangerous because it was precariously balanced and could have easily smashed to pieces. This was the big issue but there was other annoying and quite frankly not professional issues…the freakin kitchen light was out! There was no dish soap, no coffee. I’ve stayed in lots of rented homes over the years but this place stood out for the lack of care we experienced. Honestly we are low maintenance and have literally never reviewed a place before, and I was hoping to avoid this, but the renter refused any compensation on the basis that we didn’t contact them during the stay. And no we did not, nor should we have needed to for this sort of stuff. So 5 stars for the ocean and the balcony, 1 star for the professionalism and customer care.

Great Space
This was a terrific house close to the beach and town. Great views, plenty of space and super comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we extended our stay two extra days. Highly recommended for those who want a cozy and comfortable place that exudes beach charm but isn’t fussy. Only advice is to take heed to the driveway as it is as described in the listing.
