The cottage had everything we could possibly need. Lots of room for the grandkids to play. Everyone had a wonderful time. The neighbors on each side of us were very helpful and welcoming. Chris was very helpful and responded with kindess and respect.
We had an amazing stay! Our hosts were very welcoming, responsive, and helpful. The cottage and grounds were more than expected. Clean, organized, and had everything we needed.
Our family couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the week. The location is perfect, quiet, peaceful, and has opportunities to create your own adventures.
We look forward to booking again and creating more memories with the family.
The cottage is beautiful with great views of the water and fall colours. It is fully equipped with all the nice-to-haves while you're vacationing. The place is clean and well maintained. There's plenty to do on the property itself. Unfortunately, the cottage went into blackout due to a power outage within minutes of us arriving. Everything turned off - heating, water, stove, wifi etc. since all appliances were connected via electricity. Chris was responsive and stayed in touch through it. I will flag that the cottage does not sleep 8. We were a group of 8 and there were beds for only 7. One of us had to sleep on the sofa which was not ideal. Additionally, Chris reached out to us during our stay mentioning that there will be an additional charge of $200 because we were 8 people instead of 6. We shared with him screenshots of our booking that clearly showed 6 adults and 2 children booked. After realizing that we were right, Chris said that he wouldn't charge us extra to "compensate for the power outage". All the back and forth threw us off a little since we were there to spend relaxed time. I wish we would instead be compensated by taking $200 off the bill since the place was good to sleep <8 people. Other than that, we had a nice time and will recommend the place to anyone looking to enjoy the Algonquins during the fall.
