About this property

Roads End Ocean View Home Has Hot Tub, Second Living Area and Kids Playground!

Sea Haven - Meredith Lodging

You’ve come to the right place if you’re hoping for a vacation home that will delight your guests, including the younger set. Sea Haven is a pretty, convivial retreat perfect for including friends and family, with lovely indoor spaces that are rivaled by the variety of areas outside. The great room is filled with ocean light from large, wide windows on two sides and beautiful views down to Roads End beach. Leather sofas invite you to gather in front of the gas fireplace and large flat-screen TV, and the gracious dining room with seating for ten assures everyone a seat at the table when it’s time to eat. The large, open, fully-equipped kitchen, with its tiled floors and excellent ocean views, keeps the cook connected to the conversation. Sliders off the living room open to a covered patio with a dining table and hot tub, so you can extend the enjoyment outdoors.

There is a lower yard and an additional fenced lawn area for outdoor fun. In addition to the king master suite with TV on the main floor, there are two bunk rooms and a queen bed with an ocean view on the upper level. The big surprise is downstairs, however, where a whole separate living area, including a kitchen, dining table and media hub with a TV and a leather sofa, share space with a bunk room with a foosball table and a king master suite. It makes Sea Haven an ideal home to share with more than one family, in a terrific location near Roads End beach, shopping, dining and the Chinook Winds Casino.

Lots of fun
Older house, but we are Idaho farm folks with kids and grandkids. Enjoyed it very much. Saw raccoons and deer in the yard. Nice hike to beach. Lid on the hot tub is deteriorating, and boards on the playhouse are spongy. Might give those some attention. Spiders scared some of the girls, but Grandma crawled around and squished them all! Better than bug spray, in our opinion.

Great place!
Really liked the place and its proximity to the beach! It worked very well for our group. A few warnings to be aware of that didn't affect our enjoyment but might be a concern for others: 1. The walk down to the beach from the house is very steep. Be prepared to drive a super short distance if you have young or old travellers. 2. The two downstairs bedrooms don't have actual doors, just drapes that don't quite cover the openings. 3. There is only one communal bathroom -- the others are in two of the bedrooms. We had a terrific time! house was

Our family getaway
This home has an amazing view of the sunset at night with lots of windows in the main living area. This place was pretty great for all ages. We had 13 people age ranges from 0-65. We had everything we needed. Only down fall was the home needs some TLC. It was still an amazing weekend. Would love to stay again.

Girl’s getaway
The girls from my class of 1975 enjoyed the property. It looked bigger in the pictures. We wished it had a bathroom on the top floor, but over all we really enjoyed the view and the size.

Good place
The property served our large family well. The beach was only .4 miles away, but be prepared for a HIKE if you’re going to walk. Much simpler to pack up and head to the Roads End Beach just down the road. Bunk beds are not comfortable for adults but the kids didn’t mind.

Home is big for larger groups but needs attention
The house is nice for large groups but there are several things that will keep us from coming back to this house again. The master bathroom in the basement smelled like urine the whole time. It was so strong like urinal smell. The washer had black mold. Keep in mind this is what the towels and sheets are washed in. There were pluming issues and when we called the management company, they were quick to respond, but the maintenance person who came to fix the issue only made it worse, so we were out one bathroom. There were no extra blankets or pillows anywhere to be found which is not fun when you like to have a few blankets or pillows to sleep with. There was no hairdryer to be found in any of the 3 bathrooms but we called the management company and they were quick to bring one. Not enough dish soap. No gloves for dishes provided. They also sent us a text about 30 minutes prior to check in that the hottub wasn’t available for our stay. Lastly. There was no service at this house except for SOS calling- so you could only contact others by wifi calling/ texting. Pro; good location close to beach, small enclosed yard plus larger open yard for kids to play in.

Great Stay!
Amazing, cozy house by the water perfect for large groups! Has great views and amenities, including an awesome hot tub! We had a bit of trouble finding the keys to the hot tub, but got quick and efficient help from the property management. Would love to stay here again!

Good and bad
At 4:00 check in time the house was still being cleaned. It delayed our checkin a half hour. We were denied a late check out and even received an email requesting to let them know if we could checkout by 10. I understand the challenge with back to back bookings but the challenge wasn't our problem and I thought the email inappropriate. I paid a good sum for one night. Though I would've preferred a discount on our stay, I did receive a small voucher for a future stay which I probably won't use after this experience. As for the house, it was definitely dated but the layout was good for our family and the view was great.

Parking at the property
Apparently it is a city ordinance that u cant park more than foir cats in a driveway, although this driveway can hold atleast 7 cars comfortably. Very inconvenient.
