We were visiting a family member in the area , who is not well. The cabin proved a great place for us to stay, and have them visit us for the day on Saturday. The cabin was perfect - roomy enough for games, chatting, going for walks, and the kitchen is very well equipped to accommodate any Kind of cooking.
Super clean, quite, comfortable and close walk to the beach. Really good directions provided from the host to get you to the location. Would definitely stay here again!
Fantastic location with the lake close by. Very quiet neighborhood and friendly people whom I did meet. Would recommend this place to family and friends.
This was our first time vacationing with our reactive dog. It is fully fenced, well treed and perfect for our boy. We felt very relaxed and comfortable.
We enjoyed our family weekend at this cottage. Lovely space to enjoy the outdoors slow down. The hosts were very easy to work with and accomodating. We recommend for anyone wanting a quiet cabin to enjoy.
It was soo quiet there. The place
was clean and very well equipped. We took in the Krayy family farm, and while rainy went to Lacombe and the honey farm. Lots to do around there.
Great place, great area!
Lots ro do around there!
We really enjoyed the quiet, serenity and peaceful area of this cottage near Gull Lake. The dog enjoyed the yard and area for walks, I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, relaxing in the livingroom watching dvd movies, sleeping in the bed, touring around the local area. I would definitely come back again, even in the winter if there are bookings available at that time. Highly recommended!
The cabin was perfect for myself and my 3 children ages 8-14. Due to the low water levels this year, the nearest beach wasn't great but Wilson's beach just a few minutes down the road was a great place to spend the afternoon.
Host was attentive and easy to get a hold of, gave very detailed and useful instructions for everything.
We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage! The homey feel and dragonfly theme throughout made it so cozy and inviting. The host clearly put a lot of thought into the decor, adding special touches that made us feel right at home. Just a short 5-minute walk to the lake, which was perfect for enjoying the outdoors. Our dog Bailey also had an amazing time—being able to bring her along made the weekend even more special. The backyard fire pit was a great bonus for evening relaxation. Highly recommend this dog-friendly spot for a peaceful getaway! We will definitely be back soon!
Our stay at Dragonfly cottage was quite nice... only suggestion would be to have your own lawn chairs for around the fire pit, the chairs provided are covered with spiderwebs and spiders.

Quiet and nice cottage
We could not find the turnoff to 792. There was no sign on Hwy 12. We used Google map to find it.
Windows did not open. It would be nice to have curtains on the kitchen window and patio doors. Well stocked kitchen. We loved the fire pit.
On the last day we could not use the bathroom due to the septic tank being full. Not a good ending to our stay.
Dragonfly Cabin were exactly what we needed AND more.
Check in was easy. We had everything that we needed to feel relaxed and zen..yet still homy. The place was exactly as described. Host even left us a smore kit and a yummy suggestion with rice crispy squares. Thank you! We tried it and loved it. The backyard feels like being in the woods with a fire.
My dog enjoyed the sticks, scents and watching the squirrels.
Because the path to the lake was so muddy, one of the lovely neighbors offered to let us use their path and private beach.
Overall GREAT place where you hear nothing but birds and squirrels 😀
Oh BTW great selection of movies.
One suggestion, directions on how to use the DVD and VHS player.
Thanks again Martin!

About the host
Hosted by Martin Hosier
Angela and Martin along with Cynthia and Phil purchased this cottage at the beginning of the Covid pandemic for our families to enjoy. It was quite run down and in need of a major renovation at the time. While most of the major work is completed we continue to make improvements a little at a time each time we visit. We enjoy spending time at the cottage (we call it Dragonfly Cottage because large dragonflies can often be seen flying around) so much that we thought we would share it with others when we are not using it.
Why they chose this property
The wonderful thing about Dragonfly Cottage is its quiet secluded location and close proximity to Gull Lake...perfect for relaxing and playing in the water!
What makes this property unique
Dragonfly Cottage is ideal for families with children and pets. There are plenty of things for children to do and there is also a large fenced yard for dogs to safely play.
