Summary:
This place is SO Louisville! Nestled perfectly in incredible proximity to downtown, you're just steps from the East Market District in NuLu which has everything you could want from dining, to shopping, and entertainment on Whiskey Row! Unwind after a day of sipping spirits in our spacious home that has THE vibe you're looking for. 3 bedrooms - 2.5 baths - 4 beds in total. Perfect for all sorts of groups!

The Space:
Just a short time ago this home went through an extensive, down-to-the-studs, renovation! Incredibly thought out, SMART amenities, spacious floor plan, and a kitchen that's begging for you to entertain in! Everything is new, incredible finishes throughout - with all the amenities and features that you're after! Spacious master suite features a king bed and an ensuite with a full bath on the first floor. Two bedrooms upstairs with a full bath in the hall. One bedroom features 2 queen beds, the other a single private queen bed.

Nightlife, dining, arts, BOURBON - a block, maybe?
Downtown, 4th st, convention center - 1 mile
Fair & Exposition center / festival grounds / Kentucky Kingdom - 5 miles

Parking:
Parking is street parking only, no permit required. The street really isn't very busy so parking isn't a huge issue except on Sunday mornings when the church across the street is in service.

Guest Access:
Guests have the entire space to themselves and will access with a unique door code

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is NuLu! Full of arts, bourbon, dining, and entertainment! There's something for everyone here - come see our eclectic city!

Other Things to Note:
There are exterior surveillance cameras positioned at the front door and side door. There are no cameras in the home, and not pointing to the outdoor entertainment area. The cameras are only to monitor and protect against parties and an unauthorized number of guests. If you're doing the right thing - you have nothing to worry about :)

So so
The house was quaint and had so much potential. The location was perfect. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub on a brisk evening. What lowered this rating was the lack of supplies in the kitchen and the lack of cleanliness. The kitchen was significantly under supplied, and there was a contact lens on the carpet. Since neither of us wear contacts, I’m assuming the carpets weren’t swept. I’d say with some minor adjustments, the house could be a rating of a 5.

Birthday Celebrations
A wonderful property to celebrate three birthdays in our group of 7 travelers. The house was incredible and perfectly appointed for our needs. Walking distance to some great restaurants, bars, shops...and even a few distilleries. We especially enjoyed the flashes of humor around the house (e.g., "Alexa" at the kitchen sink and some of the commentary in the house guidebook). We would STRONGLY recommend this property...and may even make a return trip in the future.

Louisville Transitional Stay - Hot tub smelled funky
This was a decent location in a very transitional area. I was a little hesitant. The reason I stayed here was because the place had a great outdoor area with a hot tub. The hot tub was over a foot low on water and the water had a funny smell to it. I guess they didn't check the hot tub when the prior guest departed. I was traveling alone. Planned on staying three nights, however, I cut the trip short. The bed was not comfortable to me and the hot tub had a funky smell. Went back home to the ATL and glad to be in my own hot tub and bed.

Disappointment
This was a very frustrating experience and you can easily find a better place for the price. 1. We wanted a property that had 3 full baths, this was listed as so but only contained 2 and a very small toilet/sink as the 3rd. When we contracted the owner he just said “VRBO won’t let us list a half bath, sorry for the inconvenience” 2. NO WORKING WIFI, contacted the owner multiple times and nothing returned, nothing! 3. There is not enough glasses or basic utensils for the amount of people that it lists it can hold. One basic pan to use so don’t really expect to use the kitchen so easier to just get a hotel. 4. Cleanliness was less than desirable! Hairball in the drawer that holds the few utensils that are available, there were bugs in the cups that were in the bathroom uses for rinsing or a toothbrush and spider webs around the doors and closets in 2 of the rooms. The 3rd room has a bed with no closet, no space To place a suitcase it’s literally 4 walls with a bed that has about 12in of clearance on the side of the bed. Don’t expect to have a couple stay in there and enjoy any space. We expected a simple and clean place to cook a few easy meals and space to get 6 people ready at the same time and it’s just not possible. What is more frustrating is the owner would have respond about the WiFi at all, just to say “sorry” when we addressed the bathroom issue as this was a priority for us when we searched. All TVs and electronics are useless due to 4 days with no WiFi.

Heating Issues; Communication Troubles (Don't Leave Things Behind)
The property itself was very spacious and terrific. Close to everything we had planned to see. Appreciated being able to cast video content from my phone to the TV in the living room. We had issues maintaining a comfortable temperature during the evening hours. The thermostat would read 71 to 72 F, but it felt at least 5 degrees warmer than that (gauging by the temp regulator in my vehicle). Suggest having an HVAC tech come out to re-check this at some point. The larger concern has been with post-checkout communication issues with the owner while working to have found items returned to a member of my travel party. The owner has confirmed custody of the items and receipt of shipping address, but to date has not yet updated us with evidence of shipment (checked out on 12/4; date of this review post is 12/20). Have had similar happen at a hotel on rare occasions, but items were promptly returned in those instances. ** To avoid similar difficulties with your stay, just make sure that, in addition to completing the owner-requested checkout steps, everyone in your party has double-checked their respective bedrooms and all commonly used areas and confirmed they are clear of personal belongings, and have them confirm said belongings are in the vehicle before you pull away to return home.
