We had a great stay at this beautiful property. Everything we needed and lovely and warm with the fire and ducted air conditioning. Ingrid was a responsive host and we enjoyed the little treats she left us. Lovely to get up and walk along the waterfront in the morning. Will visit again. Thanks Ingrid.

About the host
Hosted by Ingrid
I have been fortunate to have worked within the Victorian tourism industry for over 20 years, managing high end tourism experiences in Melbourne. My current position has required me to relocate, making this the perfect time to turn my own property in to a short term rental. My passion has always been to welcome customers with genuine care and provide a memorable experience that is unique. I look forward to welcoming you to the magical surrounds of the Jawbone Marine Sanctuary.
Why they chose this property
I had been renting within this estate for more than 3 years and had been thoroughly enjoying the surrounds of the marine sanctuary. I had been watching each surrounding property be built one by one and dreamed of one day being able to own one of these magnificent townhomes. The next stage of the construction included plans for a large corner yellow home on the waters edge. I threw myself in to working multiple jobs and went about making my dream home a reality. The house was built in 2014 and I have never want to live anywhere else. It truly is a magical experience to spend time here.
What makes this property unique
These are some of the reasons I love living in this undiscovered tranquility:
North facing afternoon sun. Balcony. Day bed. Trees. Birds. Wine. Cheese. Book. Nap. Repeat.
Sunset walk around the lake, pitter patter footsteps on the water as the swans take flight. Pelicans flying overhead.
Walking along the water on a dedicated path (2.6kms / 1.6 miles) before settling in for some great coffee at The Kiosk by d'Asporto - located at the swimming beach.
Living in this architecturally designed house which provides upstairs living surrounded by trees. Windows everywhere. I feel like I am in a tree house. I smile as I close my blinds and see the 2 resident magpies resting in the tree outside - settled in for the evening.
Close proximity to Melbourne City (14kms/8.6 miles) but feeling like I am a million miles away.
Visiting Newport Lakes Reserve (2.6km / 1.61 miles) and enjoying time in native bushland. It makes a very pleasant walk and the lakes are incredibly picturesque. read less
