My husband and I stayed here for a vacation and were very pleased with the apartment we stayed in through VRBO. The place was beautiful and was in a great location to access the metro, busses and was not far from many of the memorials we visited. We will definitely stay there again!!!

Our apartment stay was lovely. It was great to have the kitchen and washer/dryer too. The rooftop and pool were a welcome relaxing place to read and rest. The gym was outstanding. We had a great stay!
Stayed for a week, and we loved the cozy little apartment. The rooftop is great for a little friend gathering and the pool is nice! Very convenient location wise as well! Would definitely recommend for a couple or single person.
This is an efficient but soul-less new apartment building with bland gray decor, nice bedding, well-located and has many conveniences. The checkin process was confusing (download 2 apps but one doesn't work and isn't needed), and the wifi throughout the stay was terrible. Since you need your cellphone to have power and wifi to use the elevator or get into your apartment, bad wifi is kinda unforgivable. The pool is 2/3 the size of a normal lap pool, and (wait for it) IS NOT HEATED! Also dirty and has no markings so you might hit the white wall. So the main reason I chose this place was adequate.

Botched!
I paid for a night that I knew I couldn’t be there b/c our flight got switched to a red-eye so I wanted to come in and get rest. After almost an hour with a very gracious concierge we found someone was in the room we were assigned and no update was ever sent to us to share our new check in information. It was finally sent to us almost an hour after we arrived.
The other fly in the ointment is that it is almost impossible to get to a live agent even during their business hours and who isn’t open until 10am in a hospitality business?
Lastly the internet SUCKS! It took another hour to try and work through that issue and eventually they connected us through the apartment next door… but that didn’t last either. We constantly lost connections for the internet and TV all weekend long.
This is all unfortunate b/c it’s a great area…close to the metro, Capitol Hill, Union Station, Starbucks and an upscale market. And the amenities in the apartment are 1st rate (beds a little ify).
Anyway, our check in person, was very apologetic and said,”we’ll do something nice for you”…glad I didn’t hold my breath for that. Even in a nice facility QUALITY SERVICE is expected. Didn’t get that except from Xavier the concierge.
Listing Does NOT Properly Represent the LARGE Property Management Company or their Complex Processes
First, the building and unit itself were great overall. It's located in the brand new REVEL "luxury" apartment building which was modern and matches the photos. The only minor exceptions was not having any soap (bars) and the mattress was probably the cheapest they could buy, so it was not very comfortable (it reminded me of my dorm room in college!). Otherwise, the building was secure and in a good location (right next door to the Marriott Capitol Hill, which worked out well for meals, etc.). Another unexpected bonus was being right on the "protected" (designated) bike/scooter path, so I was able to easily rent one of the many Lime (Uber) / Spin scooters to easily get to/from Capitol Hill for my meetings each day.
My HUGE frustration is/was the GIANT HASSLE the LARGE Property Management company who handles this unit does this, which is certainly not represented on the listing, so came as an unwelcome surprise (they try to elude that you are just renting from a small/independent landlord, which is what I had intended).
Upon booking with VRBO, "Global Luxury Suites" immediately charged my credit card in full (which is fine), but then emailed me demanding that I review, accept and sign THEIR separate rental agreement, which I begrudgingly did (google their reviews BEFORE you do this). They also required that I upload copies of BOTH my Drivers License AND Credit Card, which I complied with.
I could write TONS more but am out of space. Caveat Emptor!
