Got away to the Smokys for 3 days/nights with my wife and small child. We had a blast in the Smokys all day and it was absolutely amazing retreating to our canvas campsite. Perfect mix for me who could sleep outside and my wife who prefers a bed and a hot shower. The place and amenities were all great and the scenery around Wears Valley is incredible. I'd recommend this place to anyone considering. While you're here, hit the Mountain Bros hardware store, Mountain Bros coffee, and travel to Peaceful Social in Townsend.
Glamping was such an enjoyable experience for our family. The disconnect from everyday life was great. The tent was spacious and we were glad to have AC. The fire pit was a nice way to unwind after our activities of the day. The property was close to everything, but far enough away that we could leave the crowds behind. We are already making plans to return.
Our son lives about 3/4 mile away and this was perfect for us to visit for a graduation and birthday. We are on the porch and enjoyed the view several times.
Great little gem. With some minor changes and some cleaning it could be perfect.
Overall, this was a very pleasant stay. Excellent glamping experience and the hosts are very professional. Cons: the unit was not very clean - we had to move the dust bin because the plugs for the coffee machine was located behind it. It was filthy behind the dust bin. The dog crate was not cleaned (keep the current contagious dog illness which is on the news in mind), all the furniture were full of dog hair also. The barbeque was not cleaned. The shower was not clean There is no toilet brush. There is no space to put your clothes, hang your wash cloths and dishwashing cloths. Suggestion: under-bed drawers, hooks in shower for wash cloths, hooks in kitchen for dish cloths. The view is amazing, but the storage containers was really an eye sore.
Loved our “clamping” experience. Loved that it was off the beaten path. Convenient to anything we quickly needed. Very clean and spacious. Loved the shower!
Comfy beds. Our only complaint didn’t come until our last night…the neighbors in the first tent were a group of about 5 young men and ladies. Their cars were everywhere, making it hard for us to park in our designated space. (Rules say no more than 2 cars). And it’s supposed to be quiet time from 10:00pm -7:00 am and at midnight, they were so loud we could hear every word they were saying…or should I say shouting.
Text the manager, and called the after hours number and never heard back from either. Didn’t mind the young people having a good time, they just needed to be respectful of the other campers, and they were Not.
We truly enjoyed our glamping adventure! It was anything but roughing it, the glamp tent had everything we needed to get our trip underway. She even provides crate and treats for your fur baby. We will be back ...
My young family had a great stay at this glamp site. We love to camp, but didn’t want the hassle of bringing all of our camping supplies since this was just one stop on our vacation. This place was the perfect combination of camping and staying in a hotel. We found that anything we needed was provided and then some.
This isn’t a complaint, just an fyi for others staying with young children; make sure to check all the cabinets and rearrange as necessary. Knives were kept in a cabinet accessible to my 18 month old, and fragile decor items within his reach. Just needed to do a sweep and some toddler proofing upon arrival.
Overall, we had a great stay. It’s clear this team consists of seasoned professionals!
We loved the Stargazer's Village! Absolutely amazing property. We are very familiar with Wears Valley, and have stayed in multiple places there, but this was our first stay at this camp. Such a unique place. Great views of Cove Mountain and Little Roundtop. Very close to the Metcalf Bottoms entrance of Great Smoky Mountains NP. We adored the Galileo and 100% will be back.

Greetings! Thank-you for taking a moment to find more out about us! Since 2021, we have been Tennessee transplants after living in Vermont for most of our lives. I am a veteran of the US Army (HOOAH) and I recently retired from a fortune 500 company to sell short term rentals to investors in Tennessee. Scott retired from his construction company in late 2020 and now works on projects to enhance our rentals.
Our favorite thing to do is ride our Harley’s. For you gear heads, I own a 2016 Road Glide Special and Scott rides a highly customized 2012 Street Glide. Let us know if you want a peek…we would be glad to show them to you. My other two passions are working out (weight lifting and spinning are my goto’s) and container gardening.
We have five children. Two of them have chosen to remain in VT; one of them went to college in FL and never came back! We are lucky enough to have one of our daughters joining us in our business in Tennessee. Our youngest daughter is proudly serving our Great Country in the United States Army (GO ARMY!!).
We would be honored to host you on the vacation of a life time in the smokies. These are more than just glamping tents to us. They represent the culmination of years of experience in the hospitality and short-term rental business. We are passionate about providing true glamping experiences for you, our esteemed guest.
Wishing you safe travels, Karen and Scott
Why they chose this property
We have been involved with aspects of the hospitality business for most of our lives. Glamping tents were the next logical extension to our flourishing short term rental business. Short term rentals are a more commercial transaction, people generally tend to book them for just an overnight stay while they are out doing other things in the vicinity. Glamping is a magic mix of overnight accommodations and memory making outdoor activities.
What makes this property unique
You rise early to enjoy sipping coffee from on the front porch of your luxuriously equipped glamping tent as you take in the beautiful views of the Smoky Mountains. After a spell, you gather up the family and walk up to The Heavenly Roast coffee shop and put your $5.00 cafe credit toward a freshly prepared gourmet coffee and home made pastry. After breakfast, you head out to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park...you marvel at how convenient it was to get there..it just 5 minutes you were at the entrance ! In the afternoon, you return to your tent and prepare a hearty dinner on the deluxe camp grill. You wind down the evening building precious memories with your family as you enjoy complimentary s'mores by the campfire.
