We loved our short stayed at this cosy and very cute bach which was hidden amongst gorgeous trees and garden. We were very well looked after and would love to return to this special and beautiful place sometime.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the Little Black Bach. It’s a cozy and charming little classic kiwi bach set in a beautiful garden of mature trees. We really enjoyed a range of activities from hiking on the QC track, kayaking, swimming, a little photography, some idle afternoons reading and lovely evening bbqs on the deck. Rex and Raewyn were great hosts who were always available but left us to our own devices. Thoroughly recommend!
Great little property. Had an extra person and rex and raewyn accommodated us with no fuss. Only stayed 1 nite as we were doing act. Close to furneaux lodge 15 min walk for a beer and chips, but
Little black batch has everything you need.
Awesome will be back. Thank you.
Beautiful leafy garden with an eclectic mixture of exotic and native plants. i especially loved looking at the elm tree from the deck. It is close to the jetty and really picturesque. Great wifi. Furneaux Lodge was a very pleasant easy stroll for coffee.
We had an amazing time at the Pines, and Rex and Raewyn were lovely hosts. Stairs to bedroom are a ladder, but loved sleeping up there. Would stay again!
Loved our time here. So private and relaxing yet an easy walk for fine dining at Furneaux Lodge. Cozy accommodation, friendly hosts, great swimming- bit of a climb to the loft bed- but worth the effort. ThNks Tex and Raewyn for sharing your little piece of paradise. - a perfect spot to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Rosemary and Steve
We would thoroughly recommend this little bach. The location was amazing with fishing and walks right outside your door, as well as Furneaux Lodge a short walk around the bay. The bach was cosy and warm which was appreciated in the bad weather we experienced. It had everything you could think of. Climbing the ladder to the loft bed would be the only thing to be aware of if you have kids - who love to climb and don't always see the dangers! Great location, lovely hosts and cosy accommodation that we would definitely recommend.

Hi, we're Raewyn and Rex! We've been living in the Marlborough Sounds with our wee dog Bella since we retired a couple of years ago from teaching. We love it out here and we look forward to hosting you at our little slice of paradise soon!
Why they chose this property
You want the classic kiwi bach experience! Off the grid, private, a stone's throw from the water's edge and even a ladder to climb into the main bedroom.
