Great place, attentive host!
We stayed for the Australia Day weekend. We were part of a bigger group but the others prefer free camping! The house is very comfortable, well appointed, clean and spacious. It has everything one could want, plus more. It’s just a short 4 min walk into town. Definitely one to pencil in for our next visit! Thanks to Pam, our host, who made us feel welcome and made sure everything went smoothly.

Dog friendly getaway
We loved our stay here—perfect for getting our puppy used to traveling. The house had everything we needed and was well set up. We enjoyed a lovely walk to 'the island' and the river nearby, and the kayak trip from the caravan park next door was amazing—so peaceful with hardly anyone else on the water! The town's pub was a great spot to unwind. Overall, a fantastic place for a relaxing break, especially with a dog! Thanks so much for being a great host Pam, hopefully we'll come and stay again.

Great weekend in Jamieson
Loved our Stay. It was a cold weekend but to have a great house (that was dog friendly) with a roaring fire made the stay perfect. Would recommend to anyone especially if you have pets.

Fabulous and comfortable
Amazing location for our small family long weekend. Walking distance to everything, Pam's place was warm, cozy and we felt very relaxed. It was lovely having our dogs made to feel so welcome too.

Absolutely perfect!
There is nothing I can fault with this lovely little cottage. Everything has been thought of and provided, all the comforts of a true home away from home. Spotlessly clean, well maintained and a great location. Easy walk to the river and the Pub! Definitely a very dog friendly property which is a must for us when booking. I really felt that they were welcome. Very secure yard and gated verandah. Communication with Pam was easy and instant. I cannot recommend highly enough!!

Can I give it 6 stars?!?
We've stayed in a lot of short-term rental properties over the years, and this is absolutely one of the best. The home is spotless and comfortable; the location could not be better; the communication with the owner was fantastic. Our dog felt very welcome and they even had extra dog dishes if needed! Finally, they offer a really well-stocked kitchen, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own butter or olive oil, etc. We simply don't have a negative word to say - this is an amazing property with a gracious host, and we certainly hope to stay here again in the future.

My late husband and I bought this home some years ago as we had visited the area for some years and decided here was the perfect 'get away', our 'piece of paradise' but in recent years, since losing him, we have not used the house as much as it deserves so decided to share it with others in the way of holiday rental, so families and friends could also enjoy it !

Why they chose this property

We named this property, Laurel Berry Lodge due to the beautiful, massive Laurel tree that sits right out the front of the house and provides shade during the warmer months to keep you cool! It is a spacious, comfortable family home that is close to all facilities. Jamieson is a beautiful town, once you’re here, it has an ambience of it’s own, you can unwind and relax and just enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.

What makes this property unique

You only have a short walk to the river, similar to the shops which include general store, cafe, post office and hotel, you don't need to move your car once you arrive unless you want to further explore this beautiful area of Jamieson and surrounds. Everything is at your doorstep but you still have your own privacy.
