Som House 2! Spacious Villa in the heart of Shoal Bay
Som House Villas 1 & 2 are centrally located in the heart of Shoal Bay, a coastal town in the region of Port Stephens, New South Wales.
Shoal Bay is a wonderful summer and winter retreat, set in a quiet location, with a huge range of activities to enjoy - swimming, surfing, fishing, para-sailing and of course, enjoying time with all the family.
Villas 1 and 2 are clean and welcoming units, centrally located and are in close proximity to all of the shops, restaurants, beaches and pubs that Shoal Bay has to offer.
- Both villas are fully air conditioned and heated using multiple split systems, with the addition of ceiling fans to bedrooms and living areas for those warmer nights.
- Bedrooms and bathrooms are made up by our cleaners with fresh new linen before your arrival, with generous sized bathroom towels and hand and body wash soap provided for all guests.
- Laundry amenities come complete with top loader washer, dryer and washing powder, to ensure a comfortable holiday away from home.
- Full kitchen, complete with all general appliances and utensils.
- Outdoor under cover dining area, perfect for dining, relaxing or a BBQ.
- Off street garage for 1 car per unit.
- Enjoy our comfortable open plan living space with stylish dining area and comfortable oversized couches for relaxing in front of the TV.
- Both villas have free wi-fi and online connectivity to our Sony Bravia Tv's.
Dog friendly beaches are only 5 minutes away and the villas are surrounded by National Parks and pristine beaches.
Many guests book again, happy in the knowledge that they can have a comfortable, relaxing holiday and surprised at how much there is to see and do in Port Stephens and the surrounding areas.

Our accomodation is pet friendly, however there are additional cleaning charges.
We kindly ask that owners bring their own dog's bedding, bowls, clean up after their business and ensure the well being of their pets by not leaving them alone for extended periods of time.

About the host
Your host
Having first fallen in love with the Shoal Bay and Port Stephens in 2019, whilst holidaying with friends, followed up with frequent visits to this beautiful location, we now consider ourselves Shoal Bay regulars and love getting away for a restful break from our busy lives and home town of Melbourne when we can.
Sophie is an architect and design manager working for a residential apartment developer and Tom is a landscaper by trade who owns and operates his own small business.
We’re both quite active people and both love the outdoors, for Soph it’s running and long walks in new and unfamiliar destinations, for Tom it’s getting out on their boat, bikes and enjoys spearfishing when he can.

Why they chose this property
We love to travel, most of our holidays are spent by a beach somewhere or up a mountain for a ski trip. With all of this comes a fair bit of time spent in accommodation and a sense of wanting to offer our own experience to guests.
In 2022 we find ourselves purchasing two accommodation units to do exactly that.
We invite you to come and stay at our home away from home, and hope you too enjoy your stay here in Shoal Bay. Som House vilas are very special to us as our desire is that all members of the family have a great time and that guests can feel happy knowing that their 4-legged loved ones are safe and secure. Our villas ensure that it is a 'home away from home' and dogs are most welcome inside. All linen is provided as well as pantry supplies to start your stay.

Enjoy the many beaches and waterways; swim, sunbake or read a book in the sun; take a dolphin or whale cruise; wander along the many walking trails; relax in quiet corners; enjoy the coffee shops, restaurants and speciality shops and simply relax and enjoy!
