The Neighborhood:
Located in a residential, more rural neighborhood of Northern Scottsdale, surrounded by desert landscapes, lots of parks, recreation, and outdoor activity, like at the nearby McDowell Mountain Regional Park, well known for its hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
Getting Around:
The home is about 35.3 miles | 57 km (about a 45-min drive) from the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX). There are other means of transportation, ride services like Uber and Lyft.
STATE LAW STRICTLY PROHIBITS PARTIES/EVENTS at the property. The residential area of Scottsdale has quiet hours from 10 pm - 8 am. We must respect our neighbors. The home has NoiseAware (a device that measures volume decibels; doesn't record), that notifies us when noise at the property exceed the set limit. Violating noise ordinances is a $500 fine.
We use SUPERHOG as part of our guest screening process. Your SUPERHOG application must match the primary guest on the reservation, and your background check must be completed within 48 hours of receiving your booking confirmation, per State and City law. Your booking is NOT confirmed until these requirements are fulfilled. Once the reservation is confirmed, and prior to check-in, guests must sign a Rental Agreement, stating that they agree to:
- abide by our rental terms and conditions; provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and matching credit card prior to check-in; and pay non-refundable damage waiver of $50 via SUPERHOG, which will cover you for any accidental damage during your stay. The cleaning fee at booking is a pass-through, meaning the entire amount goes to our cleaning team! We partner with Well & Good, paying more than the average rate to guarantee a safe and clean environment. W&G Promises: 1) Professional Cleaners (trained & certified) 2) Offsite Laundering like fresh hotel linens & 3) Guest Essentials: luxury soaps and more. If you'd like a mid-stay cleaning, it's available at a fee. Please notify your host to arrange it. For stays of 25 nights or longer, there is a mandatory mid-stay cleaning. It's complimentary and our team will get in touch with you to coordinate it with you.
The pool can be heated for an extra charge that must be requested and paid 36 hours before your check-in date, as it takes time to fully heat the pool. The charge to heat the pool is $100/day (2 consecutive days minimum) and for 7 days or longer, there's a discounted rate of $85/day.
We believe in complete transparency about our unique environment. As temperatures rise, it's not uncommon to encounter some of Arizona's native wildlife, including mice and insects, particularly around the pool and garden areas. Despite our best efforts to keep the premises clean and inviting, these creatures are a natural part of the desert ecosystem.
HOUSE RULES:
- Travelers must be at least 25 years of age or older to book.
- The max occupancy is 10 but fits 8 best. Day visitors are ok. No overnight guests. It's $200 per person for overnight guests.
- No smoking of any kind inside the home! Failure to comply with the non-smoking policy will incur a $2,500 penalty if damage to furniture or any smoking odor is detected.
- Recreational drug use or any illegal activity at the property is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply incurs a $300 penalty.
- Renters agree to cover any cost related to damages that occurred during their stay, including extra-cleaning charges if needed or any unauthorized pets if discovered during or within a reasonable amount of time after their stay. These amounts are charged to the credit card on file and followed by an email breaking down the fees and damages. No charges are ever processed without prior written notice. The minimum fine for damages is $500.
- Renters may be required to provide a government ID on the day of check-in or during their stay.
- Pets are not allowed at this property.
- No mail service. Packages can be delivered to doorstep, access to the mailbox is not available.
- NEVER TAKE OUT, TURN OFF, OR UNPLUG the pool vacuum (white hose) inside the pool. If found off, disconnected, or removed from the pool, the fine is $800.
- The mesh fence around the pool can be taken down only when the reservation does not include any children.
- The string lights over the pool are on a timer. They turn off by 10 pm nightly. By law, outdoor lights must be off by 10:30 pm so we kindly ask that you please don't turn them back on. Leave the timer set, thank you!
- Use of the exercise bike is at your own risk. Always consult a healthcare professional before starting any new exercise routine. If you use the exercise bike, you agree to assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages that may occur.
The home is on well water with a septic tank. All pipes lead to the septic tank. Please follow these basic rules, as fees may apply if we need to repair the tank.
-Never flush anything other than toilet paper. NOT EVEN flushable wipes.
-Use the trash for all waste disposal. Food debris, cooking oil, fats, grease, coffee grounds, etc., go in the trash, not in the sink disposal.
-Avoid using any harsh chemicals.
SWIMMING POOL AND JACUZZI SAFETY ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RELEASE:
1. Supervision is key to preventing drowning accidents: never leave children unsupervised in the pool or jacuzzi or in the pool or jacuzzi area - not even for a second!
2. Make sure someone is always watching children around the pool or jacuzzi. Do not rely on barriers to keep children from reaching the pool or jacuzzi. No barrier is childproof. Barriers only slow a child's access to the pool or jacuzzi.
3. In case of an emergency: act immediately.
4. Shout for help.
5. Pull the child out of the water.
6. Stay with the child and dial 911 (or the local emergency number) for help.
7. Check the airway and breathing. If trained, start CPR immediately.
Interaction with Guests:
The home uses a Smart Lock keyless entry where you can check yourself in using the electronic door code.
You’ll have complete privacy during your stay, but we’re available 7 days a week.
