About this property

Margaret River Farm || Farmhouse near Margaret River

Margaret River Farm is located 20 minutes from Margaret River on a picturesque family farming property. It is a comfortable 3 bedroom home with a lovely outdoor courtyard area between the two wings of the house. It is the perfect retreat, and we recommend this property for couples, small groups of friends, or families*.

The Space

The farmhouse comprises two wings, connected by a large undercover breezeway through the middle. As you enter the main section of the house, there is a dining room, a large recently refurbished country kitchen, bathroom, dressing room, master bedroom and a lovely living area with wood fire and glass windows to take in the expansive view. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, wrap-around windows and reverse-cycle air-conditioning.

The other wing is made up of the laundry, 2nd bathroom, activity room and second bedroom. The laundry / activity room is a utility and board game area with a compact 2nd bathroom comprising a shower, toilet and basin. There is a door to the carport from the laundry area. The 2nd bedroom opens off the laundry area, it’s a large room with two single beds and a reverse-cycle air-conditioner.

The 3rd bedroom is at the end of the breezeway with an external entrance. This large room has a king bed, sitting area and reverse-cycle air-conditioner. Please note that guests must walk outside from this room and through the breezeway to the rest of the home, including the bathroom.

*The farmhouse may be better for more mature children. The bedrooms are all separate and not ideal for young children who require more supervision.

There is a single carport and room for other cars on the driveway and lawn. There is a high bay carport for caravans and boats.

There is a ‘fruit salad’ orchard with oranges and citrus fruit trees and a vegetable patch. For those interested in their activity, there is a bee hive on the property, well away from the dwelling.

The paddocks around the house usually have 10-20 cows with their calves. Occasionally, they are in the paddock nearest the house and moo for attention or spend hours staring at humans sipping wine.

This beautiful property is a fantastic place to get away from it all and unwind in a peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Far enough away from it all with all the space you could want, yet close enough to be immersed in everything the Margaret River region has to offer. Just 10 minutes down the road, the Colonial Brewery offers drinks, a full menu, playground and golf driving range. 10 minutes in thea other direction is the historical Darnell's General Store, which is like stepping back in time to buy lollies by the bags, hamburgers, icecreams and household essentials.

Other Things to Note

No Pets: sorry, strictly no pets.

Linen: linen is included in your stay.

Safety: Please note that this is a farm property. There are low-voltage electric fences, farm animals and other wildlife on the property. There are two dams and although they are over 100 meters from the dwelling, they are not fenced as a residential swimming pool would be, and guests booking this property need to consider the risks that apply to their family. If children are joining you, your little ones will need to be supervised at all times. Please take care.

Gravel Road: Please note there is a small section (900 meters) of gravel road and driveway to get to the property. We suggest taking Jindong-Treeton Road and turning West onto Bramley River Rd to avoid a more extended section of gravel. From the property, west to Osmington Road is gravel. It is well-graded, maintained, and can easily be driven in a standard vehicle. It's just dusty in the summer months.

Sheds: The sheds are locked and not for guests use. Although the sheds are locked, there are two extra carport spaces here and guests are welcome to park on the lawns

No Parties.

No School Leavers.

In the middle of nature
Excellent to view the nature. It would be good if there were a hair dryer and shampoo. The dishes were not too clean when arriving. As there is no dishwasher, the cleaness of the dishes depends on the former guests. We enjoyed the stay very much and can recommend the property heartly for those, that are looking for quiet days.
